I had gotten a modest business loan (merchant cash advance) with Logan's help in November of 2018. Because of this I trusted him when he suggested I could get a term loan. Everything looks legit initially, loan application, credit inquiry, etc. But the first flag was he wanted fees up front. The second flag was that he wanted to be paid up front for credit repair to increase my credit score to help with the loan (found out later that this is against federal law).

Also, he insisted on being paid via paypal but did NOT want it to be done as a business transaction. He said this was so it would process faster and avoid delays but it was actually so I wouldn't have any recourse if I found the transactions to be fraudulent later. He would always have new fees for "site inspections", more credit repair, etc. These would be anywhere from $99 to $299. After about 4 weeks he said I was to be funded guaranteed.

Stated that I had passed through underwriting, just waiting for the banks to open. Then at the last minute he gave me a bogus story that the owner of the company canceled the deal at the last minute because of the risk. Came to find out later that the loan was never actually processed, all of the fees were bogus, and the company he worked for at the time, 5 Star Business Funders, weren't even aware he was doing these things. When I did some more research I found that he had an arrest record in Florida.

DON'T BE FOOLED! The way he operates is to get a small deal done to establish trust and nickels and dimes you with fees that sound plausible if your naive to business loans processes. He will then make claims that he is moving or having trouble paying a phone bill and could you help him out with $100 or $150 to pay his bill so he can stay in contact with the underwriters so your $150k - $200k loan doesn't fall through. He is a complete fraud and is very good at what he does.
