Loloma Vista Apartments Kim and Robert Kiyosaki slumlord Scottsdale, Arizona

Robert and Kim Kiyosaki aka "Rich Dad, Poor Dad" and his sidekick wife "Rich Girl" are the slummiest of slumlords. In 2008 my wife and I were preparing to have our wedding and were looking for our first place in Scottsdale. We were driving through downtown Scottsdale and spotted Loloma Vista Apartments. We were greeted by some redneck wearing overalls and no shirt underneath. He immediately had us fill out the application and as naive, young kids we were nervous about our poor credit (I would give anything to have half of good as credit now as I did then). We left and within 10 minutes we got a call from the "property manager" aka Joe Dirt saying "we are going to forgo the credit check for a beefier deposit". He said they would just double the deposit ($1000 move in cost on a $750 unit). So this is March 15 and the move in date was for June 1st which I figured would be adequate time to get the unit ready (75 days is more than fair to say the least). The next week he calls me to say he would like for my input on the counter tops he is installing. Before I know it 3 hours later I am hauling 24 inch tiles up stairs while he is on the phone. He then tells me that he would like to see some initiative out of his tenants and that he is going to need my assistance a couple times a week. I thought this was odd but I was young, naive, and in way better shape. He then told me I could paint the two rooms any color I would like so I went and bought the paint and did. So after two weeks I thought this was crazy that I am doing someone's job for them so I decided after painting that he needed to do his job as the maintenance/property manager. Fast forward 2 months later the day before it is time to move in and I get a call "hey man I am going to need you guys to hold off for two weeks to move in because the windows were not delivered on time". I drove by the unit to notice wood floors, no counter tops, nothing had been done. I told him I could not wait and that the windows were not a big deal (I called his bluff) and next thing I know he is telling me "we have decided not to rent to you because I should have known that you did not have the characteristics that I like out of my tenants". Since he did not perform on the contract he says they will void the contract but will not provide anything in writing "unless you want to get the owner's attorneys involved and I don't think you want that". Well 30 days later I get a check for $800 because he said I caused $200 in damages from painting the two rooms! I also had the power turned on in my name so he could do work on the unit. All in all, it cost me over 2 grand because I had our whole house packed in a uhaul, we had stay in an extended stay for 1 month before finding another place. Not to mention the $75 electric bill I paid and the $200!! I found through public records that Pele Group is owned by Rich Dad and his chick Rich Girl Kim Kiyosaki. I attempted to contact their numbers to employees saying "this is to order the book", went to their address which was a PO BOX. I even painted their facebook wall to have them remove it immediately. BEWARE OF THE KIYOSAKIS AND THEIR RIPOFF WAYS. THEY ARE SNAKES TO THE HIGHEST DEGREE AND ARE "RICH DAD AND RICH GIRL" BECAUSE OF THEIR ILLEGAL SCAMS!
