On December 19th, 2009 I was charged for a renewal of my Explosive Mine Stocks investment letter and I didn't want to renew my subscription, so I emailed Lombardi Financial telling them I didn't want to renew my subscription and on December 30th, 2009 they finally got back to me saying that if I didn't want to renew my subscription tell them and a credit will be issued. I immediately emailed them back telling them that I didn't want to renew my subscription and asked for a refund.
Finally on Jan 6th, 2010 they sent me this email:

We will cancel the renewal charge for Explosive Mine Stocks and a refund will be put into process.

Today is January 21st, 2010 and they still haven't refunded me! It has been over 2 weeks since they said they will refund me, and I have heard nothing from them.
I even emailed them back on January 15th, 2010 and asked them what's going on and I've heard nothing from them. I tried calling and apparently everyone was busy so I left a message and hopefully someone will get back to me for my refund. My credit card now has finance charges for the interest from not paying the renewal subscription because they said they would cancel it.
Hopefully I get this refunded or else there's going to be some problems.

Lombardi Financial Overcharges for its products

I had 4 subscriptions at $295 each per year. Going through my credit card statements I discovered 7 charges for 4 subscriptions. I inquired to them through their website as to what I was subscribed to. I got zero response. So after getting no response, 30 days later I went to the same website form and told them to cancel ALL my subscriptions. Again, zero response.
Next, I wrote a letter telling them to cancel ALL subscriptions. Another month goes by with no response. So I opened a dispute with my credit card company. They investigated and found what I said was true. 4 subscriptions and was being overcharged 3 extra times each year. They refunded the overcharged amount. I froze the account so that no new charges would occur. I even got a $295 check in the mail from Lombardi Financial drawn on a different company [one of their other companies], but the check was good. Then I go and look at my credit card statement and there's a new $295 charge on the account.
My guess is they have this all programmed by a computer and they just charge you whenever they want to. Or someone is helping themselves to the subscription revenue. I'm disputing this latest charge and requesting a new credit card number as if it was stolen. Because this company feels it necessary to keep stealing nearly $300 from me every so often.
For nearly $300 per year, you get zero back issues. If you don't download your issue each month you don't get it. They even got cute during the pandemic by publishing only ONE newsletter for all 4 subscriptions. They can't work remotely like everyone else? I'm paying $295 per year for this crap? They boast about having 250,000 satisfied customers yadi, yadi, ya. They have 249,999 because I'm not satisfied.
Never opt-in for the automatic renewal with these people. Make them work to keep you subscribed.

Explosive Mine Stocks Refund Finally Came

I have checked my credit card statement today Tuesday, January 26th, 2010 and my refund has finally been credited to my account. I guess it just takes awhile, but they will give you your refund if you ask for it. However, there is still a foreign fee of $3.90 on my account from the report, but since I cancelled the renewal subscription I don't think I should be charged for something that I'm not getting, even though it's only $3.90.
I'll contact my credit card company with regards to that charge and see what they say.

The refund was processed on Friday, January 22nd, 2010 at 11:10 AM EST.
The credit card company normally takes 48 hours to process the refund from the consumer's side.
We will be contacting you today (Jan 25/10) to confirm that your refund has been properly credited to your account.

Update From Explosive Mine Stocks Refund

I would like to know when the refund has been done because as of right now I just checked my credit card statement once again, and it still shows up as a charge. I called the customer service people before checking here and they said they would contact the accounting department to see what's going on, but as of right now 1:00 PM PST on January 22, 2010 it still shows a charge on my credit card.
I will wait a couple more days for my charge to be credited back to my account, and until then I will continue to check my credit card statement.
