Was looking to purchase a new 2008 Doge Ram and had called and explained what I wanted. Was called back and told they could help me. Went to he dealer and looked at a few trucks. was introduced to the assit sales manager RYAN MACDONALD, who was to "help me" in my purchase. I explained I was in the middle of a lease and wanted to go into a purchase, as long as I could get out of the lease using Chryslers "pull ahead program" that lets you out of a lease with out penalty if you are either leasing another or buying a vehicle. He told me he had spoken to Chrysler Financila and that I qualified for the program in a months time. I went with another salesman to look at some models at thier storage yard a few blocks away and when we returned Ryan said he had some news, and tat some one from Chrysler finacial had called him back stating that the first person he talked to was new and made a istake, and that I would qualify only in 2 months time.. He presented me with a sheet with numbers and payments etc, which after looking at and doing some quick math in my head did not make total sense to me as far as what the truck would cost me over the term of the deal. But I did give them a 500.00 deposut as they said they were going to ":hold" the truck for me for a month or 2 untill I got the letter from them saying that I could use the pull ahead to get out of my lease. The deal they gave me was 243.00 bi weekly for 84 months.. (you do the math) The sale price on thier form showed the rruck seeling for approx $31,000 minus a 1250.00 rebate.. Well once I did the math on my way home I realised that it would work out to around $52,000 for a 30,000 truck. On Monday morning I contacted Chrysler Financial in Calgary explaining the situation and was informed that Chrysler had stopped doing the pull ahead program months ago and he doubted they would be doing it any more as that Chrysler Financial was possibly being sold. He also told me that he couldnt see where anyone from Londonderry Dodge had contacted Chrysler Financial concerning my file at all. That person who is the assistant sales manager sat there and lied to me full well knowing that I didnt qualify and after me being very explicit in not want to roll any payments from the lease into the new purchase tried to cheat me anyways.. I explained that unless I was out of the lease and not on the hook for any lease payments did I want to buy a new truck. Very un ethical treatment by these people and I would not recommend them to anyone.
