After four days of payment due date, Long beach acceptance begins to call you with an audimatted system. When you pick up the phone the message says, " Sorry we missed you" when you are actually accepting the call. Then After you do finally talk to someone, You make arrangements to pay but they want the payment in cash within one hour! Or they said they will reposses the car and damage your credit! I agreed to make the payment within a week because I was in the process of refinancing the loan, at which time they said they would then be repossesing the car! I asked if I could pay the payment be phone check as I had done many times in the past and the said no they wanted cash within one hour! I was contacted by a company that said the would be setting up a time to repo. my car the next day and that long beach acceptance had hired them to pick up my car for what they called a volintary repossesion. I told them I wanted to make the payment to keep my credit from being damaged and I would not give up the car willingly! I called long beach acceptance and spoke with a women named Anna Sanchez at 1-888746-5791 at which time she informed me that if I am one day late making my payment for any reason they have a right to reposses my car and that I had one hour to pay! She told me to go to a western union office and wire 450.00 to them at LBAC city code on a blue form that would cost me an extra 12.00 to keep them from taking my car. Long beach acceptance has called me at least two times a day for the last two and a half weeks and threatened me, yelled at me, and harrassed me even though I was trying to fulfil my end of the contract. The name of the repossesing company was RV auto recovery and the callers name was Becky. She would not give me a number to return her call she said after arrangments had be made with long beach acceptance then they would have to call her and tell her to stop the repossesion action. I paid the payment 20 days late by phone check and I will be looking for ways to combat this type of harassment. I also told all the people I talked to that I was recording these harassing calls and they said I do not have their permission to record them! Maybe it's because their practices are illegal! How do we fight this?

Sincerely,

Dianna
