LOL deceptive practices

A couple years ago I attended a fast cash workshop, the disclaimer that your money will be refunded if you fail to sell is no risk to the provider of services (LOL company) as the program is highly geared to pressure sales to each other within the training session, the pressure is so intense that almost no one (only a complete introvert)  could fail to make a "sale" although many of the "sales" never actually are completed (a sale implies compensation is exchanged for goods or services).

      In fairness to Live Out Loud, there is a good deal of very useful sales and psychology of sales information available within that specific module and there are some excellent contacts to be made within the community and thus I found it a stimulating and growth inducing activity. I then attended the Big Table events in which my sole goal was to meet fellow entrepreneurs and establish working mutually beneficial relationships, (which i did), the training program itself was somewhat useful but fell far short of the $10,000.00 price tag, and there were a goodly number of participants who were very dissatisfied with the scope and quality of the training for the price.. I attended to meet people and thus my goals were met.

    Mid program (Big Table is 1 year duration) I became unable to access the teleconferences and ongoing training sessions (6-8 per week which I had set time aside to attend and had been attending)  because the company LOL switched to an internet conference provider that blocks metro PCS callers. I spoke to many people within the company in several departments numerous times including Loral Langemeier herself, at one of the sessions, as I explained and they knew this investment was my entire savings/income for that year and I was extremely serious about putting maximal effort into my own education so I could make a proper living.......Sadly .i received only lip service and was told I would have to change phone providers which I simply could not afford. I am surprised a company that makes millions selling education and promoting outside the box thinking would be so rigid and non responsive to a diligent and paying client's efforts and needs. I had been actively promoting this company and program and several others did use the service upon my recommendation.  I tried to get into the phone sessions for most of a year before I decided they knew they had my money and simply did not care to make it right

     I have ceased trying to participate since I was blocked from using the products for which I had paid in full and have continued to receive endless emails trying to sell me more products. I have told them in person and in writing that I require access to what I have paid for before I would consider any other training, but. I have never gotten a satisfactory answer, or offer to compensate me for the products I paid for and could not receive, which now I am told have been discontinued.

    In the past month I received an email telling me I had won a scholarship and to contact the company.. I replied by email asking them to define the terms of the "scholarship" ie was it full tuition, or a come on meant to induce further expenditures.............I continued to receive deliberately vague emails enticing me to call, that I had a scholarship waiting for me, but deliberately avoiding answering my questions regarding the scope of the offer.....

    The most recent one was received today 06/03/2014, Tired of getting unwanted emails and no real answers I called the number immediately after getting the email; I spoke to a pleasant young woman named Athena at 775-800-9625, I told her I was calling about the scholarship offer, that I had received many emails, had responded in writing telling them to remove my number if it was not a full scholarship but had received no answers to my question for if this was a full scholarship or a sales trick to get me to spend more money; I was very clear that I had already written that I was not interested in spending any more money until my previous issue was resolved and if this was a come on that I would be filing an internet complaint..........I was put on hold for a couple minutes then transferred to the scholarship coordinator (Arno Karrsen?) at 888-565-1206 He told me that all the scholarships were filled, I asked him if it was more than $2000 for the program and he stated it was substantially more, I said I had been emailing and had not received an answer, that this was a deceptive trade practice and to remove me from their spam list..............SEEMS ODD THAT THERE WAS A SCHOLARSHIP TODAY UNTIL I TOLD THEM I WAS NOT INTERESTED IN THE COME ON OR BAIT AND SWITCH TECHNIQUE

  Live Out Loud is in the business of selling training. they should be setting an example of high class proven business techniques and honorable business practices. The use of high pressure sales tactics, unfulfilled promises, failure to disclose the truth, take the money and run then come back several years later with deceptive advertising are simply is not my style.  If this company wants to steer clear of a class action suit they might consider making right with those clients they have billed and failed to fulfill. I am aware of over a dozen people who are seriously looking into this course of action based upon how this company has handled their issues and complaints.....
