I strategically thought out and planned my honeymoon over a month ago using mainly the internet. We were to go to philadelphia, New York, Boston, and Niagara Falls in that order. After being in New York it was very hard to leave during the day because we were so overwhelmed and wanted to see more sites, we finally headed out at 11 pm, with no worries because we already paid in full for our room at the Lord Wakefield Hotel over a month in advance. We arrived sometime around 2:30 am and when we walked in the ignorant lady at the service desk said "your late." With that being said I want to reitterate that I paid in full over a month before my arrival time. I didn't reserve a room, rather I booked it/comfirmed it. Now I'm a grown man and as long as I have ever stayed in a hotel it doesn't matter when you get to your hotel, in fact the only thing that matters is that you leave on time and cancel if you can't make it over 24 hours in advance, or you will be responsible for more costs. She then "walked" me as she said to another hotel, it was a dive. The parking lot had multiple signs saying your responsible for your items in your car, and then the guy at the front desk at this new hotel tells me "its not the first time Lord Wakefield Hotel has done this before, we have never overbooked." It also cost less money a night then I paid Lord Wakefield Hotel. Furthermore and most bothersome to me is that I hand picked Lord Wakefield Hotel due to the location, I had a few sights to see that were right around the corner. I would call myself a smart consumer and I hate wasting money on nonsense like extra gas, not only that I try to be environmental friendly, yet here I am spending money on extra gas and sending un-needed polution into our atmosphere, since I'm over 20 miles from everything that I already paid for. Lord Wakefield Hotel is not willing to reimburse me for any money, they did put me up in a room of a lesser value hotel for one night. Needless to say I HIGHLY RECOMMEND NEVER STAYING AT THE LORD WAKEFIELD HOTEL.

Lord Wakefield Hotel is trying to fool people by changing their name to Clarion Hotel, funny thing is Clarion CEO Steve Joyce is the biggest liar of all.  He allows scumbag people with money to buy his franchise name.  He was on undercover boss and wanted everyone to think he was a nice guy.  He is a scum just like his franchise owners.  So this hotel in Wakefield Massachusetts is a real dive and has all scumbags working there. Either they're alcoholics or drug dealers or welfare fraud fat girls.  So I was asked to give a deposit of $150 to LENNY at the front Desk. He placed it in an envelope, wrote my name on it and placed it in the register.  After a few nights it vanished, I was never given a receipt but they say without my receipt I can't have my deposit back.  Nowhere is the policy posted! I've tried to get it back and have tried calling the GM who has ignored my calls.  The asst manager Robyn said Lenny kept the money and I'm out of luck.  I showed them a video of bugs crawling in my room and they refused to move me.  I showed them stained sheets and they refused to replace, I couldn't even get clean towels. This place should be shut down or the entire staff should be fired.  Oh BTW, the Owners ugly daughter who thinks she's Beyonce should not be hanging around the hotel having sex with her southern redneck boyfriend.  I will never be back
