A text message from Mrs. Kate 1 901 235 4227 who was supposed to have seen my profile on care.com was sent to me saying that her friend was coming to to town and needed help taking care of her mother in law.  She asked would I please send her an email and tell her that I am interested.  I did so.  She, Lori Arnold, wrote back and gave the details of the job and how much I would be paid, which was $400 for 9 hours per week and the job lasted for 6 months.  I wrote back and said I was interested (however, I was suspicious).  Some of my concern was that maybe she didn't know the area and assumed that I lived close enough to where she would be living.  I asked for her to clarify where that was and she said Washington Twnp.  That is quite close, so I proceeded.  Then she wanted my Name and phone number, which she already had; my address; my age (which is illegal to ask for); and my gender (a photo is included on my email account.  But I decided to push on and see what else would happen.  Her next letter said she was sending a check for $400 plus money to include purchasing groceries and appliances (I wondered what that could be.).  I wrote back and said sure, but requested a cell phone number in case I had questions.  There has been no answer yet and she didn't yet ask for my checking account number, which is what I suspect is next.  If she sends a check,  I need advice on what to do.
