I purcased an SUV in April 2005 they jacked the price up and changed the orginal sales price without my knowledge.

I cancelled the moonroof and they were to take that 1195 of the price which they didn't do. They promised to put factory woodgrain paneling inside and that has not been done either.

I made several trips to get this straighten out, I talked to the salesman Ivan he agreed that the price was wrong and would get it taken care of the next day. Didn't happen after not hearing from him I called and he said they would be faxing me the papers to sign after the changes were made that nver happened .

I started doing some research and discovered that a buyer guide by Law is to be placed in plain view both sides, to be filled out properly and I was to be given the orginal or a copy at the close of the sale. You guessed it "it didn't happen.

One of the sales managers terry told me that was let up to them to post it or not and it was only for new cars. Not according to the Federal Trade Commission.

They tried to make me believe the price was not what I thought it was and then get this he smiled and said it was my responsibility to check the figures before signing. Well Terry it's also my job to inform the public of crooked underhanded practices by this dealership.

Further research leads to possible evidence of price discrimmnation toward Afcrian Americans. I have reported this to the BBB and the Federal Trade Commission.

I have been telling other and found that they have had similar diffculties and the servic is horriable. It's like you don't matter after they get your money.I think Clark Howard and the I Team would like to look into what we have to say along with the Office of the Attorney General.

I am going to try every legal means to be heard on this matter and if you would like to join this cause and demand a change in the way we the customer is treated.

If Laws are on the books to protect us, they need to be inforced and if there are none then that must be changed and there is no time like the present.

Suggestions and advice welcome. I think this would be great for one of the court shows on tv for maximum exsposure. This things go undealt with because they figure only a few people will hear about the shameful and disgusting lies they tell.

If anyone feels as strongly as I do about this then lets turn this thing around in our favor. "All fo one,and one for All"

How could you miss the change?

AUTHOR: Mark - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Wednesday, June 15, 2005

I agree with the other poster. Don't play the race card.

These guys are creeps, but you needed to take the most reasonable and easy step to protect yourself. READ THE CONTRACT BEFORE YOU SIGN IT.

You could probably get a judgement against these clowns in small claims court. Collecting would be another matter.

By the way, I have been cheated by car dealers too (back in the day) and I am a white male.

Did You Actually Look at What You Were Signing?

AUTHOR: Kathy - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Wednesday, June 15, 2005

When you signed the documents to purchase the car, the price that the dealer was charging you was right there on the purchase agreement, staring you in the face. You had to sign the purchase agreement. Did you not look at the puchase agreement when you signed it?

I signed the papers because I was unaware of the change.

AUTHOR: Joyce - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Sunday, June 12, 2005

There was no mistake on the dealers part it was deliberate because when I mentioned it 2 days later they pretended to be getting it straight.

The salesman agreed with me when I went back and brought it to his attention then refuse to talk to me afterwards.

At the last meeting with a manager the salesman Ivan was next to the cubicle I was sitting talking on the phone with a relative about his check for the week and his bonus.

Some of the other information I did not find out until I started looking into the legal aspects of this matter.

Why Did You Sign?

AUTHOR: Kathy - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Sunday, June 12, 2005

It sounds like the dealer mistakenly overcharged you, admitted as much, but is now refusing to correct that mistake. That is unethical on their part and unfortunate for you.

But why on Earth did you sign the documents if the price was wrong?

What Makes You Special?

AUTHOR: Cory - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Saturday, June 11, 2005

What makes you special? You, along with about 20 million other people got screwed by a car dealer. If you happened to read any of the other posts on this site, you'd see it can happen to anyone, including Afcrian Americans. Just post the facts and the scumbag car dealer's name and skip the other.
