LSBD Enterprises - Thedownloadplace.com ripoff Cape Girardeau Missouri

I was searching Google for certain software and their link came up. I clicked on it and their website appeared with a picture of the software I was seeking. Below the picture was a download link which I clicked. This took me to a registration page.

I filled it, downloaded and installed the software as instructed. But when I opened the sotware, to my surprise, it looked nothing like the original page--which was very professionally put together--this one was very sparse and disorganized. I typed in the software I was looking for and I was astonished to find that instead of this nice picture with a download link it opened another search engine.

This search engine was very simple looking. I,again, typed in the name of the software and no results came up. I spent the rest the day trying different versions of the name yet no resullts.

In the interim I had received a receipt for my purchase so the next morning, less than 24 hours since the purchase, I sent an e-mail to the only contact I could find anywhere with my complaint and demanded a refund. I received an automated response but nothing else. Two business days after sending my e-mail requesting the refund the purchase amount was deducted from my bank account anyway.

After much searching I finally found a phone number on ripoofreport.com but the number has been disconnected. The business is not known either at the local Better Business Bureau or the Chamber of Commerce. It's like they vanished...but this whole thing took place four days ago.
