LUBBOCK POWER & LIGHT CITY OF LUBBOCK TEXAS LP&L OVERCHARGING, MAKING-UP CHARGES & INFLATING THE AMOUNT OF WATER I AM NOT USING JUST BECAUSE I HAVE TO USE THEIR SERVICES!!! LUBBOCK Texas

They claim I am using 20,000 gallons of water each month. Which I do not have a pool nor do i have more than 2 people living in my household & cant believe they can charge me for so many gallons of water. Also they charge me $4.76/Kgal for up to 8000 gallons then they are charging for all other gallons from 8000 on up a much high rate of $6.50/Kgal. Which they claim is a base water charge of 0.75 meter which is ridiculous!! Then they charge a solid waste amount of i unit $15.25. A stormwater fee of 1 unit $13.48, which we do not even have any type of underground water drainage system or all water just evaporates & no one or there isn't any other processes done for that water. Then the charge a wastewater charge which is based on the same 0.75" meter charge, just like the clean water charge amount, which is charged by volume at (4)($2.67/Kgal) They also handle the electricity & have several charges for their services that seem redundant like the SERVICE AVAILABILITY CHARGE-flat rate necessary to read your meter$7.27. Or the ENERGY USAGE (kWh)- amount necessary to deliver the electricity. Or the DEMAND USAGE (kWh)-amount necessary to support or meet the peak demand. Then there is PURCHASE POWER (PP) COST RECOVERY(kWh)-actual cost of electricity; a pass-through of wholesale power costs with no mark up. FRANCHISE FEE-amount paid to the city that allows LP&L to place its facilities in the public right of way. Then there is TAX-CITY 1.5%  COUNTY 0.5% STATE 6.25%. ALL OF THESE SEEM LIKE THEY ARE RIPPING ME OFF!!! I can't get any other service because they have a MONOPOLY on the my UTILITIES!! So my bill for this month is $381.56 and I feel they are taking advantage of the situation!!! Please help ME show them they CAN'T DO THIS!!!!
