Lucia Lagarda (Goodwill) 83rd & Lake Pleasent; Peoria, AZ Manager: Misty (another associate) The called the police upon myself and my daughter over a customer who assaulted then bullied my daughter with no just cause refusing our statements and or reviewing security cameras. Peoria Arizona

My daughter and I went into Goodwill with no desire of a specific purchase. We head to the shoe department randomly seeking a heel type sandal which compliments her growth as a women. There’s 2 sections to the shoe department; desirable and just because. This couple; 400 lb plus women and her over 6 ft tall slender "husband” with their child in the stroller covered in goodwill merchandise. Both my daughter and I respectfully gave them room for viewing and in response she: the women uses her body weight against my 11 year old barely 60 lbs child to grab up a pair of shoes which appeared they came from a dumpster. My response in her action was; excuse me? She responds; excuse me? in a provoking tone whereas mine was in concern. My reply thereafter was; if my daughter or another child may be in her way to please say excuse me.

From that moment she and her husband expressed mannerisms unkind and without cause. I politely asked them to leave and reluctantly through their verbal standers they left. In that moment my daughter and I continued shopping without regard to the situation which had just occurred. Moments later the women returns with the shoes she grabbed in pushing my daughter. She took that opportunity to confront me once more but more so to my daughter harassing her. I and another guest asked her to leave. Moments later her husband returns approaching my daughter screaming at us. I then capture his picture and said; sir I will call the police.

An associate comes by to see what transpired and the customer spoke for me assuring her that I was in the right and they were in the wrong. I continued shopping. Seconds later Lucia Lagardo and Misty (Managers) tell me; you are now trespassing and I’m calling the police. I tried to explain myself but they continued walking away IGNORING me and were instantly on the phone with the police allowing that couple to make their purchase while I stood in front with my daughter as the shoppers watch us as we call the police on behalf of the assult upon my daughter. Realizing the unjust my daughter and I leave without police contact. I call to another goodwill after making contact with Misty Being told I’m no longer welcome at 83rd nor any other goodwill.

I had no opportunity to explain myself and when I spoke with Lucia briefly only she and Misty allowed enough time for their communication rather than mine also refusing to bring attention to the cameras validating their reasoning to my dismissal. Not only am I being slandered by them. They brought police into a situation without true cause. My daughter was physically assaulted and harassed and neither manager cared nor felt the need to address the concerns of our affairs within their store. I later spoke with an officer over phone (he was kind) and told me until he or an officer make direct contact with me; I’m not trespassing nor can those ladies make that claim. Nevertheless, my daughter deserves no remedy in the eyes of Lucia nor Misty. They rather slander our character than find clear validation to what my complaint is. I feel sad I’m unable to protect my daughter from people who clearly have a way of hurting others. I blame Lucia and Misty. They shouldn’t be in a felid of hospitality when they have none.
