On 2/26/2017 My husband and I went to purchase a car from the above listed dealership.

We were interested in a car listed online a 2005 GMC Yukon Denali for  $8,497.00 we had visited previously the day before and spoke with a Mr. Will on 2/25/2017 who also quoted the car at the same price.

Will was not there on 2/26/2017 so we worked with the owner of the dealership

We explain the car payment amount we we looking for and was asked how much down payment we had. We told the owner we would like the car payment under $500 and we had $2000 to put down.

I had notice the sign when we walked in that stated " No refunds on down payments or deposits" I was a bit concern but the dealer assured us everything would be fine.

We sat in his office after filing out the application. He told us he got us approved with my husband and me as the co-signer due to credit.

The car payments would be $458.00 which we were pleased with.

He began printing out the contract and we starting signing papers, I handed over my debit card to be swiped for $2000.00 which went through. As we continue to sign the contract we get to the pricing guide that was listed online. The dealer has scratched out the price of $8,497 and handwritten is $15,500. My husband and I were startled. We asked why was the price changed.

He explain that he was  not his idea it was the bank (finance company) idea to change the price. That is the only way he could make this deal work and we need to bring him another $500 in 30 days to close the deal. I asked why he did not say any of this before we started to sign papers, he said that he was doing us a favor and we should be lucky that anyone wanted to finance us with bad credit. We signed the price change guide pay because at this point  we felt stuck because the dealer would not give us our money back.

On 3/4/2017 we were asked to come back in to finish signing paperwork only to be told we were sold the wrong car the VIN number was incorrect.  We were confused and delighted as we hope the price would be the original $8497.00

We were then told the price of the car was $13,996.00 (the same car). However when you review copies of the contract for $15,000 and $13,996 the VIN number is identical. We again asked why the price was not the originally listed. The dealer again said that he does not set the price and the bank can changed the price. One more time we asked for our down payment back and we were not no.  We could go try and find another car but no one would take us. Again we felt trap in this loan.

I spoke with Credit Acceptance on 3/7/2017 to ask why they changed the price on the car. It was then explained that they do not change prices they finance what the dealers tell them the purchase price. I have launched a complaint with Credit Acceptance to see what can be done

This very upsetting to me that a dealership would be so dishonest and lie to their customers. I am sure we are not the first customers that they have changed prices on nor the last. All we wanted was to pay for the car at the price originally listed.
