We were invited to attend a informational briefing at a hotel in Midwest City, Oklahoma.  The briefing was hosted by Luxury Escapes Travel agency out of Tulsa, Oklahoma.  We were given information on how this travel club could save us a great deal of money on travel arrangements to include airfare, hotels, rental cars, cruises, and so on.

It all sounded really great and for the low price of a one time fee of $7995.  The couple that signed up first would be given a deal and only pay $6995 and a voucher for a vacation stay of thier choice.  It all sounded like a great way for our family to save money when traveling because we have six children and like to travel.  We signed up first, which is really unlike us to do anything like this, but thinking of the savings took a chance. The voucher is just another way for them to make money, because you have to send in a $100 with it to register for the vacation and then hope it's worth the risk.

Bad idea, this company is a complete scam.  The phone numbers they initially gave us were not in service and not a person was to be talked to for at least the first thirty days of our membership. We tried to stop payment to the company through our credit card company, but that only lasted for 45 days. The travel club sent documents to our credit card to show our participation and we were re-charged for this non-exsistant service.

Once I was able to get a person from this company on the phone I cancelled our membership to avoid future charges.  I was given two different phone numbers to stop any future charges and am still in the process of trying to accomplish this.  These people work in high pressure sales, they don't tell you who they are ahead of time so you can't check them out.  Don't be fooled as we were by the savings on travel, there isn't any.

Our fight against this company is still ongoing, but I hope by reading this report it will save someone else from making the same mistake.  Throw away the postcard or notice received in the mail, it's nothing but a scam to take money from hard working people.
