LWC TRANSPORTATION - BRIAN LINDNER cheats more drivers Starkville Mississippi

 In January of 2008, my husband and I went to work for Brian Lindner as team drivers.  Brian leased a truck for us through Swift transportation in Phoenix, Az.  The agreed pay was .45 cpm for team driving, and we stayed out 8 weeks at a time.  Mr Lindner was very nice, said he was a christian, ex police officer etc... Pay was suppose to be every friday, and since we were not the owner of the truck, we had no access to any payroll information. 

  At first payroll was fine, but then we started receiving half of what we earned, or payday would be 2 to 3 days late or Brian was conveiniently out of town and would pay us in a day or two. As embarrassed as I am to say this, by August he owed us $18,000.00 and even though he gave us $1000,00 a week, he would owe us $2000.  We finally had enough, took the truck to the Portland Swift terminal, called our dispatcher, emptied out the truck and went home. 

 I did not have the money to get a lawyer, and would probably just let it go and chalk it up to stupidity except I happened to see the other report against Brian and realized we were not the only ones he has ripped off.  We also did not receive our 1099 from Brian.  His partner is his father-in-law Dave Wilkerson, the "W" in LWC. I would imagine he is just as culpable as Brian.
