Maaco 5136 Southwest Blvd ripoff St Louis Missouri

I pickedup my 1994 Tercel from Maaco on January 17th 2003 and was thrilled not only because it looked so great after, but because I has received the top of the line Prep Plus paint job for the Signature price. Total $876.09 excluding my car rental.

Two months later I noticed the paint was chipping around the door locks. I went back to Maaco and the manager, Tom Grass, told me that it was because of the oversized key ring that I was using. I went back a few weeks later after having other people including my mechanic look at finish. I had had the driver's side door repainted 3 and a half years earlier by a reputable body shop and had no chipping while using the same key ring.

The manager was to contact me and when I didn't hear from him I filed a complaint with the BBB...He now says he'll repair it at may expense!!!! Because the paint is chipping in numerous spots-hood,fenders, etc., it'll be a mess in a year.

My next try is in the Small Claims Court to try and get my money back. $876.09 is a lot of money to me, and either these folks are total incompetents or they did not apply the top of the line paint job that they said they did...or their top of the line paint is no good regardless I should not have to suffer because of it...
