Macanthony Realty International MRI Aspen Golf and Suites - beware Marbella Spain

If you have purchased a property in either Aspen Golf or Suites, you need to read this.

As I'm sure you are aware, the above developments are no longer frontline golf. The company's response to this seems to differ depending who they are talking to. Sometimes they deny that they ever said it was frontline golf and other times they say that the development in front came along at the last minute, flouted planning regulations and that they just started building.

I used to work for the company unfortunately and saying that it was never marketed as frontline golf is a lie. The directors would stand in the "Meet and Greet" week after week and talk about these frontline golf developments and how quickly they sold out.

When the sales staff found out that it wasn't frontline golf (which wasn't until the building in front of it started to go up), obviously we weren't happy. Staff and their relatives had also bought in the development and they themselves had sold it frontline in good faith. MRI's response was to send out one of the MRI Construction directors to Bulgaria to talk to us. He told us that everything was in hand and that they were going to contact all the people who had bought in these developments and let them know. For once, I thought that they were doing the right thing. It seems these letters were never sent, as I don't know of one client who received one.

There is now a fresh rumour, that I have on pretty good authority. MRI HAVE REMORTGAGED THE LAND. If this is the case, they are in breach of their contract and you are entitled to a full refund, plus damages. You may have received an "amendement" to your contract which I'm sure Legal Independence told you was nothing to worry about. This amendment would basically allow them to remortgage the land legally. Every apartment owner wold have to agree to it.

If you are in dispute over the above properties with MRI, please check the above in your contract. If the above is true and you want a way out, this would provide the perfect opportunity. I would recommend phoning one of the directors of MRI Construction directly. They can be found on the MRI website.

It may be wiser not to mention that you heard about it on this site. They have so far not been able to close this site down (thank goodness) but anybody who has had dealings with them will know that they threaten sites with legal action if they don't remove anything detrimental written about them.

If anybody has any literature from MRI or any emails from head office which state that Aspen Golf and Suites are frontline, I would be grateful if you would get in touch.
