Macey & Aleman hired them to handle my bankruptcy. it has been four months since i paid them $1700. they have done nothing for me and there is no response to my emails, letters, phone calls, etc Chicago Illinois

I hired Macey & Aleman to handle my bankruptcy. After I paid them, they disappeared. It was not until later that I realized they offered me no local phone number/address to contact them. Letters sent certified have not been returned, there is no response from the company. I paid them $1700 and now must save up for another bankruptcy attorney all over again. I would like to report this to the NJ Bar as well as the Ethics committee, and perhaps the Attorney General should look into this if other folks have been affected. This is sickening, to treat people needing help in this fashion.
