Mortgage Law Group LLP The Law Office of Macey, Aleman and Searns This company ripped me off in the amount of $2900 Chicago Illinois

After having been laid off from my job in 2009, I was in danger of foreclosure. In March of 2011, I answered an advertisement on the local radio station for help with a mortgage modification after my mortgage company settled with a predatory loan. I was told that the Law Firm of Macey, Aleman and Searns had worked with several lenders and had much successs in keeping families in their homes. Over the next year, I faxed the same documents to the Mortgage Law Group twelve times. I was told that after a time of no activity, the documents expire. I have never ever heard of documents expiring. I made phone call after phone call to the Mortgage Law Group, had a different "processor" every time, and was always told that they had reched out to my mortgage company and had not heard anything back. I was always reassured that they would not stop until they had gotten me the best mortgage terms and resolved the matter. In August of 2011, I opened our local newspaper to find my name and address in the legal section as a defendant in a foreclosure suit. So, naturally, I calledthe Mortgage Law Group and le them know.

Once again, I was reassured that it was standard, just a formality and that they would see to it that this suit didnt get any further. Beginning in January of 2012, I went to hearings about my foreclosure with a mediator and a representative from my mortgage company. The Mortgage Law Group was no where to be found of course. So, I began to call them. Lo and behold, their number had been changed. I had to go all over the internet to find a viable phone number for them and was met with a nasty old gate keeper telling me that "my time had ended with their company". What?!?! I ended up losing my dream house to foreclosure in 2013. It wrecked my credit score and I am still trying to put my life back together. At this point, I have no idea who to trust. I'm not even sure whether to trust someone like Ripoff Report, who is out to help people who fell for empty promises such as myself. The Mortgage Law Group and Macey, Aleman and Searns are ripoff artists. I have read the official complaint against them and I want every penny of my money back. The company withdrew a total of $2900 from my checking account in three payments. If you would like any more information, please send me an email.
