I need to know if this is a ripoff. I received a check from Machine & Mfg. Co., Inc. Small Business-Woman Owned 20547 125th St. Monona, IA 52159 drawned on Freedom Bank of Monona, Iowa 52159. The letter stated that I am hereby selected to participate in a paid Consumer Research Program in my area of residence as a Mystery Shopper.
The breakdown of the check :
Salary and Training Pay $400.00
My tasks are as follows:
Wal-Mart Purchase 60.00
1st Money Gram transaction 1,860.00
2nd Money Gram transaction 1,800.00
Service charge by Money Gram 140.00
Total 4,260.00
