I worked for him for more than a week for about 6hrs per day. He
actually tried to hire me through odesk. After my first week, I already
demanded for him to add me to the assignments so I can have my work
logged on the system. This should have allowed a secured payment on my
end. However, he refused to hire me through odesk as the rate will
actually be raised by 10% if we'll do it thru odesk. So I negotiated my
rate. I even proposed to have a lower rate to match his budget. But
still, he refused. I was actually sad when I told him i was sorry if i
can't do the job without going thru odesk. I didn't want to do it
outside of odesk back then as I don't want to have a non-secured
payment for my work as I have been a victim of this.
