OMG!!! I thought I was losing my mind! After receiving weeks of threatening phone calls from this so-called American Legal Services/Dept. of Fraud & Criminal Activity I finally Google's them and lo and behold - Ripoff Report .com has many people on it proclaiming the EXACT same troubles!!
I was sooo relieved and upset at the same time - that they have been doing this all over the United States of America! I read story after story of people who were getting the same horrible, threatening, disrespectful phones calls that I have been getting. These people all sound foreign with names like "Steve Jackson", "Martin Lewis", "Jacob Smith" and many others. They tell you all of your personal information including your driver's license number!
They tell how you are going to prison after they call your job and tell your boss that you are a "crook and a fraud".The crazy part isI remember taking the payday loan just like I remember paying it back but they couldn't tell me when I took out the loan or what I supposedly owed! After reading all the entries on Rip Off .com, I told these scam artists to leave me alone and got to you know where!
Unfortunately, they have started calling the Executive and Deputy Directors of my job and harassing them. Thank God that my direct supervisor knew how to handle them and I pray, pray that they will just leave me alone.
I have been called from area codes 347 (Brooklyn), 707 (Texas), 206 (Washington), 203 (California) and yesterday I received a call from 1(111)111-1111 - what the heck is going on?? How do we stop them??

I'm in the same boat as you!! This comapnay is calling my Human Resources Department and I'm one step from being written up becuase my HR DIrector feels my personal life is intefering with my job. THe Foreign accent caller desgised himself as Steve Butler ( 347)457-3037 is his number. Today he told me that Ryan Martin has an appt with the Connecticut Attorney General's office on February 11, 2011 and the they have an appt with my local Sherrif's department and they willb e coming to my job on February 14th @ 10:30. THis harrasment has to stop. They can not tellme what i borrowed, how much I borrowed, Nothing but they do have my last four digits of mysocial which I refused to confirm. I asked them for a Physical address and they refuse to give it to me. They found my neighbor and called my neighbor teling them they needed to get in touch with so I don't go to jail!!! I WAS RIPPED. I ahve no idea where to start to defend myself with these people
