I had been working with a business education company. Magellan initiated calling me to say that my coach wanted me to work with them. While Magellan is on their referral list, that statement was not true. The sales rep did, however, convince me that their services were superior to the webhosting service I was using, so I began to switch to Magellan. That is when the troubles began.

I never received information about how to set up my website. When I called them a week after switching, I was informed that my website was not set up correctly. When I was finally able to access the back door to get started, I found someone else's business email in my account information! Who knows what of my personal information is now floating around to another of Magellan's clients?!

To make a very long story short, I spent another 2+ weeks corresponding with very detailed emails with extremely short, illogical responses. Magellan tech support doesn't answer phone calls. I was finally passed along to a 3rd party company to determine if I should receive any refund.

They did absolutely nothing on my website! Their communication was extremely poor! I finally initiated a chargeback with my credit card company and submitted 7 pages of email correspondence with at least 3 people from Magellan--they constantly pushed my issue along to someone else who knew nothing about the nothing the previous person had done. After Magellan lagging for another full month, I received the news from my credit card company that Magellan refused to initiate a full refund because they have an automatic $50 cancellation fee.

In summary, my complaints about Magellan is:

1. Inaccurate information border, if not outright lying.

2. Service is so slow, it is non-existent.

3. No access to support by phone because they don't answer.

4. You have to jump through hoops to cancel and will not receive a full refund, even if your website never went active online.

This was one of the worst experiences with a company I have ever had. Very frustrating!
