Magnum-ATI Bait-and-Switch, Fire Safety Scam Operating in Volusia County (Ormond/Daytona) & Flagler County Palm Coast, Florida

This company, Magnum-ATI, contacted my wife recently after attending the News-Journal Baby Expo at the Ocean Center in Daytona Beach, FL. They claimed that my wife was the grand prize winner in their contest (knowing her she registered for everyone there...) and that our daughter won her first bike. Of course being very excited, my wife agreed to have this person come to our home and deliver the bike and some "courtesy" information about their services...uh huh!

The next night, at 9:15pm, with no exterior or interior lights on (we were asleep) this person rings our doorbell and leaves a small package with a letter and DVD about their services. All we had to do to receive the bike was watch the DVD (not happening) and answer the quiz card that came as well...then this person would return to my home at 8pm the next night to deliver the bike and speak about their services. Lucky I didnt catch him cause he would have caught some words and some boot in his a*s for dropping information unannounced like that after decent hours.

After informing my wife that this person was NOT welcome back on our property, nor could they deliver anything else, I asked her to have him call me directly on my cell phone to speak about delivering the bike to my place of business. Of course, soon as he heard I wanted to meet him away from our house...deal was off. BAIT AND SWITCH anyone? "unfortunately, the bike delivery requires you listen to our presentation"

What I cant believe is that a reputable company like the Daytona Beach News-Journal would allow a company like this to participate in their event, which is hosted in a Volusia County building without doing some research on them. While I can believe that the company that manufactures the products might be reputable, I know a SCAM ARTIST when I hear one...and this guy is one...

Save yourself and your family from potentially being victims, both financially and physically. Don't let this person into/near your home. Report them to the police immediately if they call you.
