MagWall Jamaica Sam Catling , Jen Catling, Richard Catling Scam, Fraud, Kigston , Nationwide

Further to my complaint report titled "another victim " submitted Wednesday, November 16th 2011, I write to retract this report in its entirety as I verily believe, based on recent discussions with the Catlings, that my outstanding claims in connection with Magwall Jamaica will be settled in good faith by the Catlings. Further, I hereby formally request that my report ( referenced above ) be removed by this Website.

The Catlings are now operating with a new company name Moonraker SIP and direct you to the magwall jamaica websight thru Sam's personal profile. Don't be fooled.

 Magwall Jamaica is a wonderful product and could be a huge success, but its owners Sam & Richard Catling are frauds.
 
They represent themselves to all as being experienced, successful businessmen from England, backed by glowing resumes with stories of their accomplishments and holdings in England. It was several months before it became apparent these two con men were
dishonest, unscrupulous, incompetent frauds. They did and continue to deceive
everyone they do business with.  In their 6 years in Jamaica, all three business ventures they have managed have failed with leaving a slew of dissatisfied associates, partners, unpaid suppliers and service providers.

I brought the concept of Magwall to Sam Catling in 2010 and partnered up with Sam and his father Richard in 2011 to manufacture and sell Magwall panelized homes.  As a partner and largest investor in the venture, I now find myself removed as a director of the company, fired as COO of Magwall Jamaica and bared from the free Zone where the factory is located.  This occurred after a request to see the accounting when it became apparent that funds were being spent inappropriately to the direct benefit of the Catlings.

They have reneged on their agreements relating to my investment and I have no choice but to pursue my legal rights thru the Jamaican courts.
 
I warn one and all, do not do business with Sam or Richard Catling. Do not believe a word they say.  Do not provide any service for them, or supply them with any materials unless youre paid up front.  I have a long list of people that remain unpaid going back several months. I myself am out $530,000 US dollars to date.

I see that a lot of people posting on this site either use a phony name or do it anonymously to avoid a potential lawsuit. I will sign this statement as I welcome the Catlings to come after me in the courts with a slander or defamation action. They do not have a leg to stand on. Also if anyone out there has similar experiences with Sam or Richard Catling please feel free to ad to the rip off report or email me directly. These men should be exposed before anyone else becomes a victim.
 
I still feel Magwall is a terrific product and a perfect fit for the Caribbean market. If you buy a home made from Magwall SIPS it could be the best investment you ever make. Just dont even consider it while Sam & Richard Catling have anything to do with the company. I
personally am ashamed to have been associated with these men.

Prior to this, Sam, Richard and Jenny Catling used to operate through a company called Contour Land. They presented themselves as land developers wishing to buy and develop a large parcel of land. They entered into agreements and contracts with a number of professionals to undertake work on their behalf.

As in this case, when it came time to pay for services supplied to them there was an endless stream of excuses why they hadn't paid and assurances that payment will be forthcoming. Needless to say payments were not made and Contour Land disappeared owing tens of thousands of US dollars.



Beware, they are skilled!

First I would like to say I am happy to see that  posting this Rip Off Report yielded some partial  results for one of our associates that was contracted by Mag Wall Jamaica and the Catling Family.

What Mr Catling  neglects to mention in the previous e-mail is that the last time my business partner went  to Jamaica to provide them with assembly line modifications in order to produce SIP panels and to answer any questions about the designs
provided to them by Reesor Inc they ripped us off!

Prior to my partner traveling to Jamaica this time Richard Catling asked us to front the money for the flights, when the
agreement clearly states that Mag Wall Jamaica is to provide the flights to and from Jamaica when Reesor Inc is asked to  provide the services required at the time. We refused to pay for the flights and expressed our concerns regarding
payment to Richard Catling and he assured us that there will be no issues with payment for services rendered for that trip prior to my partner leaving Jamaica.

One hour before my partner was to leave, Richard and Sam Catling explained to him that they did not have any money to pay him and that they where waiting for a client to provide them with a deposit for a house at which time they would pay
us. Sam and Rickard guaranteed full payment the following week.(its been 4 months since they promise to pay)  

Reesor Inc has gone over and above to try to satisfy and help Mag Wall Jamaica learn about there product and its limitation. Mr. Mathews has been the director of research and development for the Mgo SIP for 6 years as well as the director of
engineering, his expertise is highly recognized in Latin America, Africa and in Mississippi where he consulted on and constructed a category 3 Katrina house. 

We have not received any payment  for our one, two, and three bedroom designs provided to them by Reesor Inc. As far as Sam Catlings comments on calling him, we have tried to get a hold of him a number of times via e-mail with no response.

Lastly, Sam if you feel that legal action would be the best approach for your company then we would welcome it with open arms, Otherwise why don't you try responding to our e-mails. Nothing that we have said so far  is untruthful we just want payment for our services and designs. By the way Sam, no matter who's name you scribble on our drawings they are still Reesor Inc's designs and concepts and you'll do a fine job of letting the world know your a con artist all by yourself, this I am sure of.

Buyer beware, do your research prior to purchasing a Mag Wall Jamaica home or getting involved with Sam, Richard or Jen Catling!

This email was sent to the editor of Ripoff Report, which I think explains the situation a little better than Mr. Reesor's attempt....

Dear Sir/Madam

I am writing in relation to the report about my company posted on your website .  Please see link below for reference.

Stuarrt Reesor and his partner Allan Mathews or Reesor, Inc, who posted the report about MagWall were contracted by my company to undertake some project engineering work.  The deliverables were agreed in writing along with a timescale in advance of the commencement of the project.  

To date we have received only some of the deliverables, all of which are unusable, some 4 months later than originally agreed. Furthermore, my company essentially had to start the project again, from scratch, with another engineering firm at great expense to the company.  The work that actiually has been delivered is inferior in nature to say the least and not fit for purpose.  The original timescale agreed (one month) has been overshot by over 4 months now and there still remains a huge amount of work outstanding.

However, it seems Mr. Mathews and Mr. Reesor feel they are due remuneration for incomplete and unacceptable work.  I have personally told them as soon as we receive what was agreed, they will be paid the balance of what is due to them.  They however, have decided to post a report on your website informing the world we are con artists instead.


Please would you explain to me your company policy as regards untruths, or even lies being posted on your website and what recourse somebody like me has in relation to same.  Do I have to pursue Reesor, Inc. through the courts for libel / slander / defamation?  Surely your company has a duty of care to ensure that lies are not posted on your site, or can anybody post anything they like about anybody?
Please would you remove this post.  I look forward to hearing from you.

Mr. Reesor - I suggest you do your research before posting nonsense like this, especially in relation to "one of the best electronic controls guys in Canada".  This is slander and I suggest you remove it immediately.  Maybe you could even call me to discuss your situation and give me an update as to when we can expect the deliverables you promised us...  at which point payment may even be forthcoming.   Kind regards, Your "Noble" friend.
