Mahaska Health Partership billing problems Oskaloosa Iowa

Last year, I was hospitalized. They, a year later, phoned and said they were going to send almost $3000 to collections. I had never recieved a bill. When I asked why my insurance didn't cover it, it took them two days to tell me that medicare hadn't billed my secondary insurance. They never even tried to bill me insurance. I contacted an administrator and she gave me her word that it was taked care of and she was sending me a form and addressed and stamped enveloe to send to medicare so this would never happen again. Two weeks later, I recieved another bill for the almost $3000. This happened 15 years ago  also. I was still foggy from a stroke and went for therapy there. They billed my insurance company $2000, then billed me the same $2000. Since I was still in a haze, I paid it. I didn't pay it, of course, and I'm not going to pay it.
