MailATM.com pretends to act as a Taobao buying agent and re-shipper (freight forwarder) of China made goods. They give you a (fake) Chinese address to trick you into thinking you can have local goods delivered to them, after which they offer to re-pack and re-send to your international address.

It all seems fine right throughout the sign up process and receiving what appears to be a unique Shanghai based address. When I set up an account with MailATM, they even offered to log in to my Taobao account and enter the address information for my order. I declined and was able to place my order successfully, after which I received a tracking number from the Taobao seller (510022538624 -uc56.com).

The item was confirmed as delivered a few days later, but MailATM never contacted me to advise they had signed for the goods. That's when the problems started. I sent email after email, called their telephone, filled in contact forms on their website, etc., but they had SUDDENLY gone completely silent. I remained polite and calm and simply asked them for the next step, but after continuous silence it became clear they had no intentio of re-shipping my goods.

IT SEEMS MAILATM.COM WAS ONLY INTERESTED IN STEALING MY CHINESE BOUGHT GOODS FOR THEMSELVES.

The value of goods wasn't even that great, and the particular items I bought were of such a niche market they coudln't possibly get use out of them. unless they have some way of selling them back to the manufacturer. But this is obviously a cheap scam set up to steal and accumulate various goods from international buyers, be it tablets, electronics, or otherwise.

MailATM.com is also known as Shanghai SH Logistics Co.,Ltd.

There non-working 'customer service' telephone is +86-21-51087336 (never picks up, even during business hours).

They have another website at shlogistics.com.cn which is just a facade to look legit (also contains same, fake numbers).

Mr Xiaofeng Zhang, possibly the scammer himself, is listed as the contact person for the business.

Hope this information saves somebody else from getting ripped off.
