This company is a ESCO provider for gas and electric. They statred ripping me off three months ago. They charged decent rates in the beginning, however watch your bills closely. I started contacting this company three months ago to remove them from my account. They have you on hold forever and then the line disconnects. I called them several times and left messages to contact me as well. They never did. NYSEG said I had to contact the to remove them.

They have charged me more than 150.00 a month in overcharges. The electric rate for a kilowatt from NYSEG is 6.5 cents. They jumped my rate to 19 cents (3 times the NYSEG rate). My gas is 55.5 cents per a kilowatt with NYSEG. They are charging 95.7 cents a therm. You have to watch your bills to catch this. I do not understand what the PSC is doing to moniter these people. They are clearly overcharging their customers.

How they scam you is they do not return calls when you are requesting to remove them. I finally got them removed by having NYSEG initiate the cancelation (which they should have done from the beginning) and I contacted the NYSPSC. Unfortunately Major Energy got me for more than 500.00 over Jan, Feb., and March. Now to add insult to injury their rates will be on my next two bills because the transfer services on the part of NYSEG are slow. They will be allowed to keep charging my account till my next reading in April. The bill will be due in May. I contacted NYSEG and thanked the for helping them out to rip me off for another two months of payments. If NYSEG had intiated the removal off them back when I first asked it would have saved me this money.
