1. On Dec. 10, 2009 we went to the Mak Mint Used Car website and saw a used Ford Explorer for $3995.00. We filled out the form for financing (because everyone is approved they said). Sure enough they called us and told us we were approved and to come in, sign the paperwork with the bank, and get our truck. They told us we were approved for the truck we inquired about online; and we were dumb enough to sign the contracts (without being filled out) before we got our vehicle because we thought we were getting the same vehicle we saw on the internet. After we signed the contracts, we were told by Smiley the salesman that we had to wait a few days for them to get the title. We were told by Wally from Enterprise Automotive Group (the lender for Mak Mint) we would have an interest rate no more than 16%. After 2 weeks went by, we still didnt have our truck, we were threatening to sue them or call the police because we couldnt get our money back. It was then that Smiley told us there was no title at all for the truck, and that the engine blew out on the truck. He said we could not have our money back, but he would give us another truck in good condition for the same price. We were trying to give them the chance to do the right thing. I was so stupid. I should have known better.

2. They would not allow us to pick out the replacement vehicle; they, (Smiley and Walley) picked the replacement vehicle. This replacement vehicle they gave us lasted 1 day before the complete drive shaft fell out of the bottom of it, onto the street. After arguing with the owner, they agreed to take the vehicle back and replace it.

3. The next replacement vehicle they gave us, had a bad transmission which went out on us a week after we drove it. We had to pay $180.00 to have it towed back to the dealership for repair. They repaired it only because we had a 30 day warranty. We just got the truck back from repair last week, and now the alternator went out. So the truck is not running. AgainBy the way, we got the contract in the mail on Jan 15, 2010. The interest rate is 24.9%. By the time we pay this crap off, we will have paid almost $7000.00. The price they advertised for online was $3995.00, but according to this contract the price is $4500.00. We gave a down payment of $1525.00 but they have listed our down payment amount as $1225.00. Where is the rest of our down payment? If that wasnt enough, the vin number on the contract is incorrect. The truck is not running and its only been 1 month and a week since we've had it. And of course Mak Mint wont fix it because the 30 day warranty has expired.

4. Since the day we gave our down payment of $1525.00, which was 12/10/2009, until 1/21/2010, we had an operating vehicle to drive a total of 8 days. Our payment due date was calculated from 12/10/2009, and they dont care that we dont have a vehicle through no fault of our own. Our FIRST payment was still due on 1/16/2010, just as if we have had the truck all aliong and everything was okay. BUT THEY GAVE US A PIECE OF JUNK THAT'S NOT EVEN SAFE TO DRIVE AROUND!!!

We were so stupid and naive to believe these people at Mak Mint would be honest and fair. This was my first time ever buying a truck and I should have spent the extra money to bring a mechanic. I should never have signed a blank form. And I definitely should have gotten my money back the first time they did not deliver the good we wanted to purchase originally. But just because we made these mistakes doesnt mean they should be able to just scam us out of thousands of dollars. Every lawyer weve spoken to so far tells us all the things we should not have done, but they wont represent us because its not worth it to them; It doesnt matter to anyone that we can prove everything weve said so far. But even though it may not be a worthwhile cause for a lawyer, I still want to make everyone aware about this dealership and the crap they pull. Maybe somebody will see this, and be able to save themselves a lot of grief, humiliation, time, and apparently most of all, money.
