I received a letter from Nationwide sweepstakes claiming to be located in Kearny NJ and was signed by Tom Gany- however the postmark was Canadian and not from the US- so I was immediaely suspicious. Enclosed was acheck for 2600 congratulating me- asking me to call a number starting with 403(Calgary) to claim my additional 99,000.
The check was from Malina & Assoc. in New york city- and they do exist- however when I called that number- there is no answer. Second, the check when I photocopied it- if youhold it to the light- shows VOID
Third there is no such thing as Trinity Lane in Kearny NJ and no Tom Gany in NJ- but there is in Canada and a variation on the Gany( Arabic) just outside Kearny
Beware -Beware- definitely a scam
