This business falsely advertises and the owner is a jerk.
I drove up to Chico twice this month to visit my son who attends Chico State. Both occasions we tried to eat at Mamma Celeste's. They advertise that they open on Saturdays at 12 noon. Not true.
Our first try, 4 weeks ago, we arrived at 12:45 and they were closed. No one in site. Today we arrived around 1:30 and again they were closed. The owner was inside and yelled they would be open in half an hour. He was very rude, and when you advertise you're opening at 12 noon then open at 12 noon.
Looking at the reviews posted on another review site it seems the owner is a jerk. If a customer posts a bad review the owner insults them. One example. A customer wrote a bad review. The owner replied to the reviewer (a customer) "I just can't get to worked up about liars......"
Another comment posted by the owner to another customer who had given this place a bad review "Hi GL, people can see you are disturbed."
Another comment posted by the owner (Jim) to another customer who had posted a negative review "Allison, your not a good person, as your a liar and a plant."
Is this any way to talk back to your customers?
This owner is obviously a jerk, and based on my experience with him, and the insults he has posted about his customers because he didn't like their negative reviews, we will never go to Mamma Celeste's again. There are many other good pizza places in Chico that appreciate their customers and try to make ammends to those who had a bad experience. Stay away from Mamma Celeste's.

This is my response to the owners comments.
1. I do not have to eat your food to file a complaint. My complaint was about your false advertising and your attitude towards your customers.
2. You advertise that you open at 12 noon on Saturdays. Not true. I was there one day at 12:45 and you were not there. The next time I was there at 1:30 and you said you wouldn't open for another half hour.
3. Your comment to my review, and your comments to others who have given you negative reviews, only proves you like to verbally attack those who file negative reviews. Instead of attempting to fix the problem you insult your customer.
4. You are dishonest. You had my review on Facebook removed. You are deceiving people by having negative reviews removed.
5. According to Butte County Superior Court you're a thief.
