Marbaloo is a Nashville-based "marketing firm" that manages musical groups.  They present themselves as working with big name groups and build trust with those who are in towns where they want to organize concerts and events.  Although they make many promises, they leave town without paying anyone involved with their "events" and concerts.  When you are first contacted by them, they seem professional and knowledgeable which could not be further from the truth.  They are a bunch of kids with little or no background in the business and no ability or intention of following through with their obligations.  If you do business with them (big mistake) make sure you get money up front.  If you do not, you will find your self with nothing months after your event.  They have no skill doing what they claim to do, they are dishonest and they will stick you if you let them.  I would suggest doing nothing with them that isn't paid in full up-front.  If they won't pay you in advance, save yourself months of hassle and run the other direction as fast as you can.

False/Inaccurate

AUTHOR: faithedillman - ()

POSTED: Monday, August 11, 2014

Hello, I am the owner of Marbaloo. We have paid Eddie Moles in full the amount for the services he provided, when he contacted us directly. It's unfortunate that a middle man, with poor intentions, would take to this type of medium to post false and defaming comments about my company as well as our partners on this project who are companies/people of high caliber and impeccable reputations in Nashville, TN. I take very seriously the reputation of my company as I represent some of the biggest names in country music. I'll not put those clients name in this post but I would recommend that anyone reading this please visit our website, Facebook or Twitter to see who our artists are and to also see the exciting things we are doing with them. This post is a innaccurate and misleading and you can see that Eddie himself has since posted that he was paid in full when he contacted us. He was nothing but a complete gentlemen to work with and we were happy with his services and feel terribly that the poor character of another person led to his name also being included in this post.

WOW?

Hey everybody, this is Eddie of Bone Prophet. I recieve google alerts via email when Bone Prophet is posted on the web. I recieved one from this site several weeks ago and unfortunately this is not one that I enjoyed opening:( I am not sure how Bone Prophet got thrown into this but Bone Prophet has no dog in this fight . Bone Prophet has no ties with anyone here that I am aware of.

Me personally on the other hand was only doing a favor for a friend of a friend at the last moment. I was contacted by a friend that had a friend who was in a bind and needed a sound system a recording system and lights for a show the following day. I met with several people the night I was contacted and went over what was needed "along with the price". I scrambled to make it happen on extemely short notice but provided the services the next day.

I had 2 other engineers that helped me on this project (which have been paid out of my pocket) supplied all P.A, recording equipment, small light show and labor for the the event. If you call less than $50 an hour (not subtracting equipment rental)  to split between 3 people for quality service being ripped off, than I guess I am guilty. I felt what I charged was way below what was recieved for services on such short notice which was about 10 hrs before I had to start loading in.
I would appreciate you not using my ministries name in future posts for it had nothing to do with this event. This event was done through me personally not through Bone Prophet.

Unfortunately I have still not recieved a penny for this event from Marbaloo or Rick Laney, but I have paid in full the people I hired and rented equipment from.

Just a sad situation that I have gotten caught in the middle of and a lesson learned on my end about a handshake! Feel free to contact me directly with any questions to this post at eddiemoles@hotmail.com or if we need to publicly air it then here is fine as well.

 Regards, Eddie Moles

If you got paid by Marbaloo consider yourself fortunate, they are anything but "the big boys" and their video looks like it was produced by middle school students

To the commenter above who claims to have been paid by Marbaloo; congratulations.  You would appear to be the only one.  I don't know Bone Prophet, but I have worked in the video production industry for two decades and have worked with Ackermann PR and Rick Laney repeatedly.  PR Week Magazine says Ackermann PR is one of the nation's "Top 100 Firms" and we have supported Ackermann and Rick on video projects for MTV Productions, Travel Channel, Regis Philbin and (three times) for National Geographic Channel.  Based on the look and production quality of the Marbaloo "music video" that was shot at Wilderness at the Smokies (http://youtu.be/9BLlEMoNphk), it would appear that Marbaloo wouldn't know "the big boys" if they slapped them in the head.  I have seen Ackermann PR and Rick Laney's work, and I can assure you they would be embarrassed to have their name associated with that "music video."  Marbaloo hasn't paid their bills.  They stuck a number of small local companies.  They produced a video that looks like a middle school class project, and now they are trying to justify being deadbeats.  If the commenter above really did work on that "music video", I would be extremely interested in what service or services you actually provided.  Do tell.

Ackerman PR and Rick Laney try to game the big boys

AUTHOR: Concert and Artist Services - (United States of America)

POSTED: Tuesday, November 29, 2011

Ha I love this! I am one of the vendors that supported this gig and I can tell you Marbaloo and Faithe were nothing but pure professionals.  Everything they promised they did and they paid promptly.  Rick and Bone Prophet tried to game them by overcharging and it didn't work.  Everyone in the business around here knows how Rick was trying to play the big boys for some extra money and he got caught!  Slick Rick didn't pull it off.  I have nothing but great things to say about Marbaloo and Faithe; they have awesome integrity, pay their bills, and do it with class.
