This is to warn anyone who may consider doing business with Doug Shriber that they may want to carefully look into his background and speak with his former employer (Clear Channel Communications/WDVE who broadcasts the Pittsburgh Steelers) before they decide to move forward with any business with him.
Shriber worked as a advertising rep for Clear Channel for 15 years until December of 2011 when he was FIRED after caught stealing from clients and the company. He immediately attempted to cover up this drama by spinning it into he left to start his own agency, The Marbury Group. It is pretty well known amongst former collegues in the media industry and his former clients exactly what lead to his termination but this information should be available to any potential NEW business that he drums up.
Shriber is obviously a seasoned salesman & bullsh*t artist but a little research will reveal the truth about him and the general unethical ways he conducts himself and does business. Shriber was not only defrauding the company but was also selling merchandise and concert tickets that he also stole -concealing this for years as a trusted employee and rep for many clients.
Shriber has attempted to necogicate a financial settlement with Clear Channel and the Steelers so that they do not press criminal charges against him. We are not talking chump change. 15 years of stealing adds up.
There is pleanty of gossip which won't be detailed here becuase this post is simply to state facts so that your advertising dollars are spent wisely and with an agency with your best interests in mind, not the dishonest owner's Mercedes payment.
It should also be noted that many media outlets will not do business with him therefore limiting what he can even offer you. Do yourself a favor and investigate before you do business with this guy!

This post is in response
to Douglas Shriber of the Marbury Groups attorney Jonathan McAnney posting an
online notice that Mr. Shriber intends on taking legal action against those
former clients, coworkers or associates who have voiced complaints against him
to warn others about Mr. Shribers business conduct. All First Amendment or Freedom of Speech arguments
aside, TRUTHFUL statements are not subject to slander/defamation/libel
complaints. And surly any legal action would only serve to have Mr. Shribers
actions at Clear Channel officially put on the record in a court of law in
spite of the terms of the financial settlement he signed with them to avoid
criminal prosecution. The posting from Mr.
McAnney is quite obviously nothing more than another deceptive spin-job of Mr.
Shriber. FACT: DOUGLAS SHRIBER WAS TERMINATED FROM CLEAR CHANNEL COMMUNICATIONS
FOR EMBEZZLEMENT! As suggested in the numerous complaints against
him, do business with him at your own risk or at least contact his former
