Marcel Miller Marcel Miller is a film financing scam artist! Los Angeles California

Over a year ago, Marcel Miller offered to introduce myself and my business partners to a film financier, in exchange for a role in an upcoming movie we were making. Months into the process, Marcel claimed that his "business partner", who was also in contact with the financier, demanded a $60k middle-man fee, and if we didn't pay, the business partner would ruin the deal. He also made us promise not to tell anyone of this transaction, or his "business partner" would sabotage the deal. Obviously, a red flag. Against our better judgement, we trusted Marcel, as we had developed a good relationship with him, and we paid him $55,000. Marcel asked for us to him the money, instead of his "business partner", because he claimed that his partner wanted no paper trail leading the transaction back to him for tax reasons. His business partner is a German citizen and said that the European taxes wouldn't make it worth his while. 

We became very suspicious of Marcel, and finally contacted the financier ourselves, and told him the story. As it turned out, the financier AND Marcel's business partner knew nothing of the transaction. Marcel had been lying and manipulating us for over a year, and kept the money for himself. Furthermore, the deal with the financier also fell through completely. All in all, Marcel completely conned us and stole our money. After he received the money, he stopped responding to e-mails, and cut off all contact. We are in the process of suing Marcel for the damages. 

DO NOT hire Marcel! He is a professional scam artist. I should have seen this coming, when he asked me to recommend a good lawyer, because he wanted to sue another producer who he claimed "didn't pay him a middle man fee." 
Marcel is not an actor, he is a dishonest, manipulative, con-artist. Learn from our experience, and avoid him at all costs.
