Marcelo Doffo And Doffo Winery Doffo Winery has EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE and GREAT WINES! Temecula California

I am writing in regards to a negative posting made by an individual on May 7th, 2009.
It just so happens that I was a customer at Doffo Winery the very same day the limo full of older ladies entered the driveway.

I have been a customer of Doffo Winery and Marcelo Doffo for the last 4 years. I make it a point to visit often and on occasion get invited by Mr. Doffo to attend Wine Club events, which are hosted by Doffo Winery and the family.
I usually arrive with guests whom have never been to Doffo Winery, as well as my wife and child. Many winerys in Temecula are not as accomodating when bringing children, however Mr. Doffo is always welcoming and friendly with my child.
Regarding the day in question. From the time I arrived, prior to witnessing any limos arriving, Mr. Doffo was only drinking water. He had a water bottle on the tasting room bar. I have never seen Mr. Doffo "drunk" as was posted. It is his winery and he does on occasion have a taste with wine club members, but never drinks heavily. He does have a strong accent being that he is not from this country, and one could mistaken that for slurring of words if one has had too much to drink themselves.
Marcelo is a charming man and he is friendly with all types of ladies, but he has never been rude or derogatory to any female customers. Not to mention that his wife works side by side with him at the winery.

As posted on their website and on various marketing materials, NO LIMOS ARE ALLOWED. Clearly, the group arrived unannounced, which Doffo Winery is and has been for quite some time an APPOINTMENT ONLY winery.

Marcelo greated the limo and was never rude. He did ask if they had an appoinment and he did ask the limo to not pull into his driveway.
The females were clearly heavily under the influence and at no time did I and the other guests have to hold Marcelo back. The police never showed up on the property,that is if they were called. Even after the limo left, the police never arrived. There was no reason. Marcelo was well within his right as a business owner to refuse service.

I highly recommend Doffo Winery to any patron who is serious about quality wines and excellent service. It is rare to visit a winery and find yourself talking to the wine maker, to witness his kids working in the tasting room, and to be welcomed as openly as the family at Doffo Winery does.
