My daughter and I met MARGARET RAINSBURY at Officeworks Toowoomba and we struck up a chat as she was working behind the counter.  We were buying some frames and she told us that she is an well known artist in Toowoomba and offered - at a very large price - to be consigned to do family portraits for my family and my in-laws.  She told us that she is the Manager at the store.  We started chattering away and I told her my son was gay.  She looked at me in a disgusted manner and whispered that the other manager in the store by the name of JAKE (cant remember the surname) is gay and that he parades around with his young "protege" who is a teenager and that Jake had taken that young man's innocence away. 

I told my daughter to sit on the chairs where the pencils and books were for children as I was appalled that Margaret had the nerve to talk about gays like that; and also her fellow manager.  She then told me that "you can tell them a mile off; they have that walk you know" and she winked. She said she does not have a problem with "lesbians, as they are women you know, like us" and she winked again.  I am not gay! I am married to a man.  I reminded her that my son is gay and it was like a horror fell on her; she must have misunderstood when I initially said "my son is gay" that she thought my son is a happy boy and will smile in the portrait painting! 

She begged me not to say anything to Jake or indeed Officeworks.  I rang Officeworks head office; and I was reverted to HR and the lady at HR was extremely rude to me and said that she did not believe that Margaret would say anything like that at all and basically I was a liar!!!  The backstabbing of staff that goes on in that store is horrendous.  Margaret Rainsbury is able to be found 222 Mackenzie Street, Rangeville and otherwise she can be found at Officeworks Toowoomba in Ruthven Street.  She is there most days as she told me that people call in there to see her to talk about work to be consigned; so obviously using work time to solicit work for herself. 

And as for backstabbing her fellow manager "Jake" and commenting about how they all "walk that way you know" and that Jake has a "young protege who is a teenager and that Jake has taken that young man's innocence away" horrified me that a mature woman who is trained as a manager would have the nerve to speak like that about her colleagues.  THIS WOMAN IS A NUTCASE AND NEEDS SERIOUS PSYCHIATRIC EVALUATION FOR NARCISSTIC PERSONALITY DISORDER.  4638 7445 - her home number in Toowoomba or just ring her at Officeworks Toowoomba.  Stupid old narcisttic biddy who should mind her own business and leave her draconian and old fashioned stupid ideas about gays to herself.  NOT INTERESTED MARGARET - GET A LIFE.
