Mark Eric Hobbs James Eric Moore/Ige Jamiu zoosk & other dating site, claims to love mother suddenly ill needs money wired promise to pay back Internet

I was contacted by this man a few months ago on Tango told me he was in Texas was a widower pretty similar to the other stories he has told.  we chatted on and off for a few months,he recently contacted me telling me he was going to Africa on business and could he have my telephone number to be able to at least text each other while he was away.

After a few days is when he contacted me telling me he made a huge mistake and left his bank card at home, that's when he started asking me for help to send him money and he promised to pay me back . He sent me a check for $1950 from a credit union in Ohio.



I have contacted over 37 women and Tango and told them this guy is a scam artist and he is not to be trusted, I got several replies and one of the ladies he sent her the same check for the same amount. This man has to have people in the US  helping him pull off his scams.

Just wanted to update everyone he is still up to his tricks and is calling himself by a different name 

 He is also using MiuMeet and contacted me using 2 different profiles. He said his name is Erik and he is from New Jersey and gave 2 different phone numbers. He is using Eriklovelife and seekingforlove45 on the site. The first name he used and I was talking with him for a few days and then he said his mom was in africa with her new husband and they were in a car accident. he then said that he and his daughter were attacked by an intruder while in africa and she was badly hurt and he needed money to help her get better. i stopped answering his messages and then a few days later I get contacted thru the other profile name and i looked at pics and noticed it was the same person just different pictures. i started asking questions to see if he told me same information as before.

I am writing in response to the main complaint.

EVERYTHING you said I agree 100% with, because it just happened to me. (today in fact) only his name was Ashton George Gotzone tel: 703-951-7091 - yahoo id: smilealways601@yahoo.com And his mother is still in the hospital, but only from a car accident.

He gave me the exact pictures as you posted, plus a few more.
 
He asked me for $900.00 via western Union. of course I didn't send it.

These "Romance scams" are getting to be out of control.  Something needs to be done.

And sadly, its not just the Nigerians
 
Please DO NOT send anyone money!!!! I know too many good women who have been scammed this way.

I almost got taken in by not one but two of these Nigerian scammers.  I wish I had been able to find their ip addresses like you did!  I commend you on your skills and smarts. There is a site called Romancescams.com which has been a great help to many.  Check it out and take care.

Someone had stated in another complaint about this person that when she had sent him money to his alleged name instead of the "doctors" name he had given her of "Ige Jamiu," he became angry and demanded that she immediately fix her error.  I realized, when having money wired, he must be using his real name. So I searched facebook for the name Ige Jamiu.  And guess what I found .....Colored man named Ige Jamiu who lives in Istanbul, Turkey.  Also from Lagos, Nigeria.  Many photos, many friends established in that location.  I text him asking "who was the person in pictures he sent, considering he was a black man in Nigeria?"  Havn't heard from him since that as of yet.
