The man known as Mark Goles goes on AOL under the screenname mg628664 and then asks if anyone needs a computer. If you contact with interest he'll tell you this fabbbbbulous story that he has an extra that he was given in a barter and figures he could give it to someone who needs it. He then sends an email of the Dell Inspiron 5150 and offers it to you for about $200. You think, wow! Great deal. So you agree to buy it.
He then tells you that the payment has to be made via MoneyGram, not any other method such as PayPal (which of course guarantees transactions) because he is swirtching checking accounts and so forth. He will then give you specific directions, instructing you to to go the website to look up the Avon Walmart to send the money. (of course he doesn't tell you to check the link on MoneyGram for Consumer Protection warning *NEVER* to email a stranger!)

So you then you wire the money... and in the mean time he's telling you that if he was scamming he wouldn't give all this information, he'll chat with you online telling you about his indy entertainment business that he has some clips on youtube in which he's written/acted/directed, and so on. He tells you he's getting the computer ready and once he gets the money he'll ship it to you. He promises..

Then you realize.. wait, I don't have a tracking number for FedEx. So you call him, and he tells you that he was in an accident, its in his buddies car, his assistant has it, its in the hearse he drives that was impounded by the police when his buddy got arrested DUI, and so on. You will never get a tracking number. Then you call FEdEx. They have no record of the shipment.
Then you ask him about the tracking number, where is my shipment, etc. He acts concerned, confused, apologizes, says it was returned to him (though its impossible for something that was never shipped to be returned!) and that he got the address wrong, and that your address doesn't exist. (Gee isn't that why on FedEx forms you put down PHONE NUMBERS and EMAIL addresses?)
So basically this what seems to be too good to be true, well, of course isn't. This pretty much nice guy, really isn't. He befriends you so that you keep giving the benefit of the doubt, making promises he can't keep, because he's a scammer.

The fact that there is no computer to be sold is in the fact that I am not the only "victim". (I prefer "stupid-hopeful-wishful-thinker-who-should-have known-better". He tells the same story and comes up with the same false promises.. to return the money or mail the computer. (Apparently he has a stock full to keep offering one after its sold!)

So if you are on AOL and some guy is offering to sell you a computer, to wire the money, just yell "DANGER STRANGER!" Or "A DAMNER SCAMMER!" because your money will be gone and you won't have a computer. If you have come across this guy, feel free to contact your local police department, the police department in Avon, Indiana and the Internet Crime Complaint Center at http://www.ic3.gov/ and file complaints against this man.

Goles refunded my money and on 8/25/08, I contacted my local police department and request they close the case I previously filed against him. Since I dropped the charges, you will not be able to provide your contact information to me through my police department. Furthermore, since Goles returned my money, I will not provide further assistance to other victims.

I am providing this information on the alleged scam artist (Mark Anthony Goles). He has been using the alias of Jason Mark Nuedecker. I have proof Goles scammed me in the process of me trying to buy a laptop from him. I forwarded money and never received the goods. I am urging anyone who is interested in stopping this guy to contact your local law enforcement or the Hollywood Police Department at 1-877-275-5273. I have saved Emails, Im's, and pictures sent to me by Goles as evidence. ROR advises I not provide info regarding how you may contact me directly. However, I have checked the blocks so law enforcement officials may do so. If you want me to contact you, dial 803-436-2790. Cite Case Number 08093013 and ask them to contact me with your name, phone number, and Email address. I will then contact you. Goles is currently using screen name banguptv323@aol.com. If you want to file a report, you may also allow the FBI to get involved by notifying the Federal Trade Commission at FTC.GOV. I have a picture of Goles', his correct phone number and his current residence address. I even have a copy of a police report which is supposedly on file at the Hollywood, CA Police Department. According to the information I have received, Goles was arrested on a felony charge 7/9/08, booking # 1541146, Case #'s PD06084919 and PD08267019. His bail was $20,544, and he was released 7/11/08.

Why don't we learn?

AUTHOR: Hollie - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Monday, May 12, 2008

I have to say, there have been so many reports of people stealing others money by having them wire it via western union or money gram a way that we all know can't be tracked so why in the world unless you live in a cave with no access to t.v. radio, or any other form of information then turn around and wire someone you don't know who chatted you up money?

You never wire someone you don't know money for anything what so ever, this isn't a new scam it is just a revised version of those who have been doing this for a very long time, the first clue should have been when he told you not to give any information to where you could have tracked it or what ever it was he said not to ever email a stranger? Don't really understand exactly what that meant as I have never sent money to anyone via money gram, those who are legitt will either have a paypal account or some other online payment account where you can feel secure about sending money to someone for something you hope they will then ship to you.

Please don't think I am attacking you, I just wish people would stop being so neive about these things and then they come on here and file these reports and can't believe that they just got took for how ever much money and the sad thing is alot of times these scammers are sending you money orders asking you to send them back a portion of the money via western union the day you deposit them and then 10 days later your bank calls to tell you they are fake and now you are liable and if you don't come up with their money they will get the police involved and people don't understand why they are being held liable, well it is because you are the only people they are able to track as the theif is long gone and trust you never knew where they were even if you think yoiu did, chances are you didn't., so please just wise up people.

REMEMBER THE SAYING WE ALL GREW UP WITH, IF IT IS TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE CHANCES ARE IT IS!!!!!!!!

Wouldn't a scammer delete their account and cell phone?
