Mark-Taylor Properties ripoff turns out that Mark-Taylor has a scam of filing for eviction against tenants AFTER they move out, then try to collect on the judgment Scottsdale Arizona

I lived for one year in the Dakota at McDowell Mountain Ranch apartments owned by Mark-Taylor Properties in Scottsdale, Arizona. When I showed up for my scheduled move-in I had just arrived from out-of-state and my apartment was not ready. After an hour of arguing with the staff they finally sent cleaning in to prepare it. When I moved in later that day it was filthy and in unacceptable condition.

During my year there I discovered that the complex is infested with scorpions. By state law they are required to provide pest control but did not and most of my calls were ignored. In addition, about half of my calls for maintenance and repair reasons were ignored and the work was never done.

I have my 30 days notice before the lease came up. I showed up to turn in my keys and they denied ever having received my notice so I submitted an immediate notice. A year later I found an eviction listed on all of my credit reports which was making it impossible for me to get approved for a lease anywhere. It turns out that Mark-Taylor has a scam of filing for eviction against tenants AFTER they move out, then try to collect on the judgment. I went to court to try and get the eviction judgment overturned. Julie Krentz, the "property manager" showed up and blatantly lied to the judge about what happened and my request to vacate the judgment was denied.

I was able to get the eviction off my credit by working through the individual credit bureaus but it was a major hassle. Avoid leasing from Mark-Taylor or using their realtor services at all costs. Many of my old neighbors went through the same scam and were unable to be approved for leases, mortgages, etc.
