I have been renting this house from Marketplace homes since Oct 14th, 2011. I have had nothing but issue with this house. I am going to list the issues in order,since the day we moved in.
1. There were ants everywhere in the house. (Gross)
2. We coudn't use the driveway when we were moving in, because the city had sewyer people in the backyard for over a week. from 7am too 11pm monday-friday. (crazy) the reason is the main is in the backyard.
3.We had plumbing issues, which marketplace did send someone out to fix it.
4.gas line was cut in the basement to hook up the dryer. my husband had to fix it.
5. We had a roof leak, which went into my youngest bedroom, now she has a hole in the ceiling. the owner fixed the leak on the roof but there is a hole still in my daughter bedroom.
6. I was told that there was Central Air.. It doesn't work. I called marketplace home which they called the owner and the owner called me and said the unit never worked and won't fix it because it cost to much to fix.
7. I spent about $500 dollars in window units. all my window units stop working. i called the serivce man, he came out and took a look and it's because all the plugs are not grounded. which blow all my units out!!! my brother inlaw is over trying to ground the plugs for us now. since it's a fire hazzard. we do have 3 daughters to worry about..
8. when it rains the basement leaks. there is so much more i can go on and on and on.
I am very upset and this house should of never ever passed house inspection. I don't even think it had a house inspection. My 3 year old has astma. and can't be in hot heat like this..
I forgot one more thing. The stove was nasty dirty i have pictures, holes bedroom doors and bedrooms i have pictures and i sent them to marketplace too.

I have talk to Marketplace homes and they are NOT at any fault of the issues I was having at my home. They are a good company to do business with, I am very happy with the serivce I get from them. They resolve any issues I have had. The issue I had is NOT WITH Marketplace Homes, I just wanted to make this clear. They are great people to deal with and very helpful. I had it all mixed up. and want to tell them sorry. and would love this report removed.

I have tried calling Marketplace homes about my issues I have, and they still have not contacted me, Its going on two weeks since I called. I know that I will NEVER tell my friends or family to use them. You would think being a company they would call.

I am Renting a 3 bedroom home with Marketplace Homes since Oct 14th, 2011, I had nothing but issues with this house. I am going to list the issues I have in order.
1. when i first moved in there were ants all over the dinning room area
2. stove was so dirty and nasty.
3. The move was alful. the city had sewer people at my house blocking my driveway and useing my backyard. from the hours of 7am too 11pm a week and a half worth. The reason is the main is in my yard..
4. my plumbing started to back up the first week i was here. Marketplace did fix that.
5.Basement leaks when it rains.
6. The roof leaked into my youngest daughter bedroom,Marketplace called the owners and the owners fix a patch. but there is still a hole in my daughter ceiling, that has not been fix.
7. I ask if this house had AC, I was told yes. When I went to turn on the Ac a month ago or more. it didn't work. I called Marketplace home and they had the owner call me. The owner said the AC has never worked in this house and is NOT willing to fix it. told me to Buy window units.
8. I bought 3 window units and they all blow. I called the service man which he came out and tested everything and I was told that all the wires are NOT grounded witch is a fire harzzard. I have 2 kids to worried about.
I have had nothing but issues with this issues. I am very upset. I had to pay someone to ground the house since I am now scared that the house is going to catch on fire. I am so mad. and would like somthing done. I would like a.take the money i spent on my window units off my rent, b. I can't even use the 3rd bedroom because it too hot or too cold. so it's like i am renting a 2 bedroom house. which i signed for a 3 bedroom house. or c. let me move into another markeplace home in the same area without any charges.
