Yes, I too was a victim of this farce that Marketing Endeavors calls "an opportunity of a lifetime". BULL!!! IT'S ALL BULL!!! Let me tell you my story.

I had just moved to Atlanta after just graduating from college. I moved pretty far from home and I wanted to find a job ASAP. The economy was bad, and i was naive so i pretty much took the first job that i was offered. this was the worst mistake of my life.
I seen a job posting for marketing endeavors on monster.com, and thought it seemed like a great opportunity. so i called them up and they said they wanted to interview me that next day. but when i called adn asked for the person on the website, they said that person wasn't there, and i've never seen this person since i started working there. weird huh? well it gets weirder.
I go in for my first interview which didn't take too long, but they didn't really give me a good description of the job, but they called me a few hours later adn said that they were impressed with my resume and i got granted a second interview. I had really thought i did something. but this is what they tell everybody so they can suck you in. so i went in for my second interview adn i thought it would be about as long as the first one, they failed to mention to me i would be out for a whole 10 hours!!!!!! they also failed to tell me i would be going door to door to sell phone lines for BellSouth, a phone monopoly who doesn't give a sh** about their customers, charge whatever they want, and have crappy customer service. But like i said i was naive and didn't really know what i was getting myself into. So i went out into the field for a day and it seemed easy enough, you get paid for giving people discounts, that's what they told me was basicaly my job. WRONG AGAIN!!! but i really wanted this job so i took it when they said i was hired adn started that monday.
I showed up and I went into what they call atmosphere. In atmosphere you were to never say anything negative, or have a bad attitude or what seemed to them like a bad attitude, or else you would get dirty looks or even get fired. you couldn't even say you had a flat tire!!!! if you didn't have a smile painted on your face they would say your attitude sucks. everyone asks how your day was adn even if you didn't make a dime in the field you still had to say "my day was great" as if they knew you wanted to say otherwise so they can lay into you. Also atmosphere was the time of brainwashing. They drilled into our brains every day rebuttals to say in the field when customers didn't want our service. we practiced pitched for almost an hour sometimes, i think they used that time to get the meeting ready. they never had it together. they claimed this great system was in place and if we worked the system right we would get rewarded, and if we didn't make any money that day it was b/c of our attitude!!! what does our attitude have to do with people not wanting to buy BellSouth lines or being in a contract with another provider. again it's brainwashing. they would also tell us to work our territory correctly, and "tight to the right" and all this mumbo jumbo.
Oh and there's more. BellSouth is a major phone company in the South that is known for ripping off their customers by charging too much, and having crappy customer service. The government had to actually come and regulate them b/c they were becoming a monopoly. yeah now that the gov't is on their a**es they claim they have these great discounts. THEY SHOULD HAVE BEEN TREATING THEIR CUSTOMERS RIGHT FROM THE BEGINNING!!! and what makes it worse is that they outsource marketing endeavors to do their dirty work of bringing people back to their company meanwhile they're firing their own employees.
Yeah and it doesn't stop there. They told me i would get promoted to leadership in a couple weeks, yet for some reason it took me 7!!! I called in one day to say i was goign to be a little late b/c i was stuck in traffic. everyone that lives in ATL knows about the traffic. so they said that b/c i was 5 whole minutes late i wouldn't get promoted!!! AND I CALLED IN AND TOLD THEM!!!! then the next time i was supposed to get promoted my boss claimed she ran out of time. BULLCRAP!!! my leader told me i would get promoted if i talked to some managers and other leaders, which basically means go sucking up to them. i know the only reason i got promoted was b/c my boss had no other choice but to promote me. but i always knew in the back of my mind she didn't like me. it's b/c she knew she couldn't totally brainwash me, and she would try to degrade me whenever she could. one day in atmosphere she claimed i wasn't clapping hard enough for the other reps who did good that day, and in front everyone at that!!!! then she went over to my leader and was like "does she not like me???" like she didn't understand why i got so mad. gee, i thought atmosphere was supposed to be positive? what's so positive about degrading your employees????
OH and to make matters worse I have to go to court now. marketing endeavors claims everything they do is legit, yet when i said i had to go to court for peddling my boss didnt' say anything about standing up for me even though she sent me out there to do my job and when i got in trouble isn't willing to back me up and say what i was doing was okay? that shows right there that this is a shady business. i'll be damned if i'm gonna have some ish on my record b/c of this stupid business.
what else can i say about marketing endeavors? they lied about our commission saying we would make an average of 500-600 a week!!!! CRAP!!! ALL CRAP!!! there were some days i didn't make anything, yet i had to act like my day was sooooo great even though i worked 8.5 hours in the field, saw over 80 businesses and didn't make a dime. yeah what a GREAT day!!! i made more money working at a grocery store checking groceries!!!! and they would claim i didn't make anything b/c of my attitude or my "sense of urgency" wasn't high enough!! BULLCRAP!!! law of averages, all that stuff they would feed into our heads is totally false!!! if you get an app it's b/c the decision maker happened to be there and happened to want to listen to you, and didn't have the sense like to know it was a scam, which i didn't have the sense either until now!!!

What else can i say? oh yeah how we had to STAND IN THE OFFICE!!! they were too cheap to buy chairs and tables for us, and the whole office consisted of like 3 rooms!!! when we were in the field we were never to give customers our company number, or the number we used to call bellsouth, they got another number. pretty fishy huh? we didn't get business cards, all we had was this stupid badge. everything about this business is just wrong. then i found out you didn't get promoted to management until you promoted five leaders on your team. what does this sound like? yup a PYRAMID SCAM!!! AND they claimed you could open up your own office anywhere you want, well they failed to mention in the interview that other offices would be making money off of your office so it's not really your own office. and we had to use our own cars, company cars weren't provided, we had to pay for our own gas and meals. they said we could write them off in our taxes. yeah i'll let you know what H&R block says.

What else can i say? oh yeah the stupid ROAD TRIPS!!! where we had to pay for our own gas and food once again, and we weren't allowed to drink alcohol under any circumstance and we had to be around the same people all day every day. the lodging sucked, some people would have to sleep on the floor b/c they were too cheap to book more rooms. they made it like the road trip was a great opportunity to "learn so much". YEAH RIGHT we did the same crap we did in Atlanta, SCAM PEOPLE!!! that's what i learned!!!

they took 20% of our check for rejects, yet for some reason i never got that money back even though i had no rejects!!! also another coworker of mine did a 5-line reacquisition and was supposed to get $35/line, tell me why she only got paid for one line?????? what's up with that????

every week they had "team night" where again you had to spend your own money to hang out with the same d**n people you've been looking at all day long!!! they tried to tell you that you had to go. you're telling me i have to go out with the same people i've seen all day and spend my own money? YEAH RIGHT!!!! some nights i wouldn't get home until almost 10 and i had to be right back in that stupid office at 7:30. you guys it's a cult, it's a cult and it's a scam and don't be a victim like me. they brainwash you and degrade you until you until you start acting like them. they discourage you from having a life other than the job or from hanging around people they claim are "negative".
one day in a leader's meeting they actually said that the people you get on your team is stacked b/c they put the "best quality people" with the best people. CRAP CRAP CRAP!!! THEY ACTUALLY SAID THEY STACK THE DECK TO OUR FACES!!!!
there's so much more i can say about this company marketing endeavors and Cydcor but my hands are tired from all of this typing. I just hope everyone who's been a victim of this scheme report it!!!! these people need to be shut down!!! working for this company is like selling your soul to the devil!!! if you have scruples of any sort DON'T DO IT!!!!
