One fine morning I recieved a call from Marketing Group Internationl (MGI), Arizona. The lady (named Cathy) on the phone said that she has found my number on an online survey I filled and want to tell me how to make money online. She then played a tape (as if she was explaining a mission to Mr. Bond), which was telling me that they can host a website on my name and MGI will send visitors to my website, and eventually I'll get paid for it.

The call got disconnected somehow and I called back again, then asked the representative to clarify what excatly it this all about. Then she said that she will connect me somene with more knowledge on this as she is new in here. The call then was trasferred to another lady, she then told me same thing all over again just as their tape did. I then asked her that how should I know that this is authentic, she told me the address to the website demo for me and the address of her company's website and also told me that they had zero complaints and she has been helping several people in earning money.

She then started to tell me about the website and a story that she was once homeless and she started all of this and is now earning over $136,000 an year. She then straight away asked me for $214 for two store website for an year and my credit card details and I replied that I need some time to think over this and I'm getting skeptical. She then delivered a lecture saying that I am a procastinator and if I don't join this, then I'll be back to the same old crap I've been doing previously. Then I asked her that will my money be refunded if I don't like it, then she replied in a firm tone: "I don't need those people who are not interested in making money".

I found it a bit absurd and told her that I'm not interested and I can't even afford this. She then changed her tone saying that I can pay $114 right now and can pay the rest $100 two weeks later. Then again I told her that it might not be the right time for me to join this and she then replied very rudely, saying: "I tell you what, I don't have any time for your lame excuses" and hung up.

I found it insulting and again I called back to that number and straight away said: "You have no right to insult a person like that and this will cost you a lot". I wish i had more time to file a law suit against moronic scammers like these, but rightnow all I want to do is to prevent reader's like you from being dragged into such a scam and also want to make you remember that "There is no shortcut to success".

Classifying someone's response to evade a shameless pursuit is not an excuse in my opinion. If your company was so right then why do you even care for such comments? You should not be bothered about all this but eventually you are because somewhere in your mind you have a fear that this might expose your scam or damage your reputation. If you were loyal and legitimate business practitioners then you should know how to apologize to people whom you disrespected and also you should have this rule of thumb impression-ed in you mind "The customer is always right". The same goes for potential customers as well.

I am the GM for Marketing Group International. Though we do not validate her claims, it is unfortunate that this person believes that they had a bad experience with one of our sales representatives.

We call hundreds of people every day, and it is possible that our reps can get a bit overzealous. We do follow a strict script to make sure none of our potential clients are given false promises. I apologize to the person that filed this letter, but I don't agree with all of her comments. We know that one phone call will cost us our relationship with that potential client, but we help so many people that our referral rate is extremely high.

There is no law against telling someone you don't have time for excuses, and with all due respect, our employees experience many individuals that give only excuses, and it's plausible that the individual who wrote the above report fit in to that category. We firmly believe that individuals who are not interested should not be bothered, but when these individuals complete questionnaires asking for more information and requesting that we contact them, then we do them a disservice by not doing so.

She is right when she says there is no shortcut to success. This is a legitimate program and not a get rich quick scheme. It takes time and patience to build this program.

We don't promise anything or guarantee anything because we can't when we hand over the entire business to our clients. Success is based off of their ability to work the program. I know that there is no individual who thinks that internet programs don't work; all one has to do is search for success stories to see proof. Yes, there are those that fail, but one failure doesn't mean a system doesn't work. Imagine if Bill Gates had given up after the first time his garage burned down!

This person enjoys a nine to five job, which is fine, but if you are looking for a way to supplement that income and hopefully replace it down the road, then give yourself a chance. This person seemed surprised when she was asked for the money to start her business, but any business that involves start-up assistance and continued support, like the kind we provide, costs something, and we teach our employees to let our potential clients know up front that there is a charge for the services that we provide.

So I guess what I'm trying to say is make your own decision based on your ability to navigate the internet and follow instructions and not on the comments of someone that wrote us off as a scam after a ten minute phone call.
