I did have difficulty with the Fairfield location and reached out to you.  The first night I stayed at the hotel a youth swim team stomped on the floor above me all night long and the hotel was sold out.  The hotel refunded points equal to one night (7,500 points) for my inconvenience and promised to move me the following day.  When I moved, I was asleep and woke up to a bug on my face.  I was frightened and then noticed that many were in the room.  I killed 20 of them and did not want to return to sleep.  I took pictures with my cell phone so that the manager would not think I was just trying to get a refund but, he did not care.  I also extend my stay by charging two additional nights.
The initial card did not go through so I asked my friend to fax her card and charge the room to cover.  The second charge went through for the $280.  We are planning a film with a seven figure budget and I proposed to have my staff stay at the hotel but, wanted the hotel to refund my points as a courtesy toward future business but, he refused.  I then notified his regional manager with no response and finally your office.  We have held conventions, business meetings and orientations with Marriott since the early 1990's.  I am sorry that the hundreds of thousands you have made from our alliance was not worth this small gesture of appreciation.  In 18 years I have never complained in until 2011 and 2012.

Scam alert

AUTHOR: MJ - (USA)

POSTED: Sunday, November 25, 2012

This report has scam written all over it.  I have do not doubt that there was a noise issue or that there may have been bugs in the room. Both happen and are unfortunate but not always avoidable. Where this goes off the tracks is when the stay is extended and you dont have the available funds.  If there was problems both nights why would you want to put more business there? People that put hundreds of room nights and give Marriott thousands of dollars have funds avaliable to cover 2 nights at Marriotts cheapest brand of hotel. Or at least a second credit card. My guess is that this was a debit card.

Anyone that wants something for free as an act of good faith of future business has no future business and is no loss to Marriott.  This sort of thing may work for red roof but not at one of the higher quality chains. Im sure your business will be missed.
