My sisters and I had a dream to own oceanfront property in Baja (Ensenada) Mexico and we finally put a deposit on a development that we were assured would be a great investment by the Marshall Reddick Real Estate Network. They claim to pre-select carefully all of their partners before they are allowed to sell any real estate to the network members and so we trusted this process. The development company goes by the name of CIMA Group, Inc. and they had promised to break ground one year after 1/1/07, we gave our deposits on 11/1/06. We are now in 5/08 and there is no sign of breaking ground, and all we keep getting are different stories from both Marshall and CIMA. We were issued a Bond, but before we can collect on it we must find CIMA in default in a Mexican court. We have requested our deposits back, but have not been able to obtain it. We are now being told that we will have to sell our unit so that we can recoup our deposit. How can we sell units that havent been built yet? I am trying to contact other investors in this development who are also left waiting indefinitely and who want to do something about this. I am also trying to contact the lawyer who did a class action suit against Marshall and another developer who did not deliver in Florida. Please leave a contact number with Rip Off Reports so that I may contact you. My advise to others is always do due diligence, do not trust someone who says he pre-screens, it is very sad that we live in this type of world where people make empty promises and take your dreams away all for a few pieces of silver!!!
The above photo was taken on 11/19/08 at a Marshall Reddick Real Estate network meeting in Irvine, California. We are a group of people who have lost $1.5 million dollars in deposit money on a project in Baja, Mexico that has not broken ground for over two years. Marshall Reddick recommended these Developers (CIMA) and strongly marketed and endorsed this project. Several other people have had to go into foreclosure and bankruptcy due to their buying properties from Marshall, there is a lawsuit pending in Florida, this can all be read about in the internet, or go to www.Ripoffreport.com to see the many reports, just do a search for Marshall Reddick. We have picketed before, FOX news is covering our story, and their reporter has been to our protests in the past and is working on a feature story. We want other people to know what our experience has been so that they can make their own informed decisions.
