In a virtually identical situation to the previous post, I  too took the bait on the Marvels of Nature scam. The pop-up advertised that I could "Claim my 1 month trial" and pay only for shipping. The initial 19.95 seemed high for shipping but overall it seemed a reasonable price for the 1 month trial supply so I "bit". I was directed immediately to an ad for an additional herbal supplement for 4.95. There was no decline option on the page. That should have been my red flag. But I again reasoned these were fair intro prices and I could see if the products worked. I am in my 60's. and don't have good near vision. I didn't see the small print on the "Accept" button.

Today I got hit with two seperate $87 charges that wrecked my fixed income budget and causes me a reat deal of stress and hardship to go along with my wife being disappointed and angry that I could be so foolish. And yes I was made a fool of. That whole transaction was designed to deceive unwary consumers. It targets the body image insecurity of aging baby boomers who are less tech savy and unable to decline the second unwanted product and less able to see the fine print. The 'customer service" lady just gave me the buyer beware adminition that I should have printed out and read the terms. She initially offered 35% of my money back but once I said I was filling a BBB complaint the offer was withdrawn. It felt like cooercion to get me to not file a complaint.

I can only hope my immediate filing of a BBB complaint as well as adding this post can somehow help me get my money back.
