Mary Catlett Failure to fix plumbing problem in condo above me...serious damages...won't pay. Des moines, Iowa

Condo neighbor refused to call a plumber with... serious plumbing leaks in her unit above me. I asked her to turn off her water and call a plumber. She refused. I advised I would contact the police ...after ten days of damage to my linen closet and new bathroom walls. Mary then offered to purchase a box of Tide, any size, for my inconvenience. Nearly a thousand dollars in damages and she offered a box of detergent. Several phone calls to her and notice personally at her door for more than ten days and each time she refused to call a plumber. Walls and ceiling in closet became like tissue paper and all my good linens were damaged... and all she offered was a box of Tide! The damages started the first week of June and until she finally called Mr. Rooter...Jeremy...who did advise me that both of her shower valves needed to be ordered and he stated my damaged home was the direct responsibility of Mary Catlett. Now August 18 and she is refusing to pay for the damages to my home. Email notices to Law Firm on June 7 and 8, 2012
