Mason Capital Group LLC MCG Takes Advantage of Failing Homeowners Tarzana California

Seven new lawsuits against so-called mortgage rescue companies have been filed. One of those defendants named in the lawsuits is:

In each of the lawsuits, the Illinois Attorney General Madigan alleges that con artists targeted homeowners who have fallen behind on their mortgage payments and promised that for an upfront fee, the scammers could negotiate with the mortgage lenders to reduced the payments and save their homes. However, according to Madigan's complaints, these consultants collected the upfront fees, they failed to negotiate or perform any services on behalf of the homeowners, leaving consumers at risk of losing their home to foreclosure.

This tactic violates Illinois' Mortgage Rescue Fraud Act, which prohibits mortgage rescue companies from requiring payment from consumers prior to completing all the terms of a rescue contract. The law also requires rescue businesses to fully disclose homeowner the exact terms and nature of the proposed rescue services and the homeowner's right to cancel the contract. With these new filings, Madigan has brought lawsuits against 22 mortgage rescue fraud companies.

Madigan urged consumers to use caution when seeking help if they are at risk of losing their homes and to seek reputable sources for assistance. Consumers need to resist offers of a rescue,' Madigan said. These scam artists prey on desperate homeowners who are struggling to save their homes.

I have researched your complaints, home owners need to understand that we have a client responsibility page that needs to be fulfilled. One, you must provide us with all the documents that we need on time. Two, that you do not contact the lender directly...if you say the wrong thing or even send them anything it could jeopardize the negotiations. Three, you as a client will be honest and truthful to us and you will not hide anything such as a sale date or a foreclosure notice.
A lot of cases we get people that already got the foreclosure notice or they are about to, they all were advised to fax us that paper so we can contact the lender and pause the process until we establish a solution for the loan modification.
We work very hard day in and day out to help people get out of the situation they are in, and it is frustrating to see how people think otherwise.
Most of the time we were not able to help the client was because they did not follow with the client responsibility...i do not blame them sometimes because it is a nervous situation, and people will contact lenders thinking they are "Helping" when they are not.

All other complaints about mason capital is filed by a EX employee that has been terminated because of integrity.

I personally have been in loss mitigation for 4 years and i have never seen a company that provides such a guarantee like Mason Capital. The employees i work with are all good citizens, family people with kids and a mortgage. Its hard to believe they are just going to rip people off.
