Master Spas ripoff never recieved hottub then charged account anyway Bohemia New York

To whom it may concern,

On May 13 my fiancee and I decided to purchase a hot tub. My fiancee decided to surprise me and stopped at Master Spas in Bohemia (1611 Lakeland Ave, NY) and charged part of the bill ($1500) on our credit card. After expecting the hot tub to arrive in 4 weeks and patiently waiting 2 MONTHS and never having the tub delivered, as well as having several of our calls never answered, and promises never fulfilled...we finally spoke with a young saleswoman named Jennifer Garn. Ms. Garn informed us she was there to "fix" things and that the 2 people we had dealt with had been fired. She also informed us our spa wasn't even a master spa, we had been misled, and that she would kindly refund our money. This was done on July 3. Much to my fiancees dismay, the credit card was then recharged an July 6 and applied to our account on July 12. At this point my fiancee was in touch with the owner who told him it was a mistake on the part of the credit company who ran the charge through. He stated he had a few customers this had happened to , he was in touch with his lawyer, and that we would get our money back. My fiancee stopped into the store again...and on the 18 (mon) found a sign in the window which said store closed due to illness, which remained up until today July 22. Today we also noticed a large generator outside the store, which appears to be in place for business over the weekend. This leads us to believe that even though the adjoining stores have electric this store does not as it was possibly not able to pay its electric last week , thus issuing the sign "closed due to illness" , but plans to reopen with the generator and continue to take customers money without providing a service. Despite multiple attempts to contact the store no phone calls were returned including the ones I made to Ms. Garn. We are extremely upset over the situation and are ready to : inform the better business borough ( the credit records are enough to show our claim), inform the news ( my fiancee being a police officer gives him substantial credibility), inform the Consumer Affairs agency, and any future customers willing to listen. We are also ready to take legal action as we are both losing sleep over how we are going to pay for something we never received. As a nurse, I also deal with people day in and day out, who love to listen. We are disappointed in you, Master Spas, a company who apparently lets "rogue enterpriser's" take their customers money without investigating how that store...which under the MASTER SPA name is BEING OPERATED.

We just want our $1500 given back, which had been re credited ...only to be charged again, for a service never rendered. This is why stores like Harrows stay in business. They may charge an exuberant price...but at least you know they are trustworthy.

update : as of Aug 3 still have not been credited....and when they are open only on the weekends there are multiple customers complaining!!!!The following week after closed to "illness" they were closed due to "vacation"....CONSUMER BEWARE...
