Well here is my insight to your little problem with Mastercraft Exteriors. I am not surprised at all because Mr. Matt Spanton has made a living in his own community by ripping people off or not paying his debts. 

Sure the company is part of the BBB, any idea of how they became part of that? They paid money just like anyone else. So as long as they put their check in the mail they'll always be known as a BBB company. Seems odd that to become a member of an organization of quality businesses you can do all the shady practices you would like but you just need to send them a check  & your in.

I'm curious to know if the BBB would want a company attached to them that has a history of submittting invoices to the insurance companies for work that was never done to drive up the profits.  How about the fact that the company now owns Acculynx. Which is a company for construction companies to put in information about leads, bids to customers, etc. Putting all of that information into the hands of a competitor to come in & already have a leg up on the competition, since they know what his bid just was.

The company itself is your typically storming company just travelling around & taking advantage of home owners. Matt Spanton has made a pretty good living off of riding his brothers coat tale & using all his resources to screw people over in the process. So if you are thinking of doing business with Mastercraft Exteriors, Storm Solutions, or whatever company they will be in a few years, then you better hire an attorney on day one. It is almost inevitable that some sort of shady practice will be involved.

  Unfortunately Mastercraft has a large exposure for competition and customers who would like to take advantage of our success by defaming or threatening our reputation. Our principles and character are clear when you meet with our reps and management. Our sense of family runs from the top of the company to the crew members who spend Holiday Dinners with us. This report came just 24 hours later after a threat was made by a customer to extort $7000 from our company because the customer made a poor color choice. Liars! They did a fantastic job on my home.  We actually had a small leak a few weeks after and the owner came out personally on a Sunday and fixed it himself.  You obviously are either a rival company or an absolute idiot.  How can a company with an A+ BBB rating take your money and run?  Don't listen to this jackass who obviously has an alterior motive.  Mastercraft is a great roofing company and I would recommend them to anyone.  If you have any questions email me at rhamburgler81@gmail.com

This is the immoral, unethical, and shady character that Rich from illinois referred to on Report #200907. The Spanton family has close to 20 lawsuits/actions against them in the Wisconsin court circuit. The two links below will give you details to the cases against president/owner  Rich Spanton Jr. and his brother Vice President Matt Spanton. There are even actions against their parents Rich Spanton Sr. and Saundra Spanton. Seems their family has questionable characters.
