Mate Check Private Investigations, LLC Bigger cheater than my spouse! Las Vegas, Nevada

When my husband left for a superbowl weekend in Vegas with the boys, his behavior made me suspicious that he was taking a girlfriend along.   A quick search online led to a phone call to "Mate Check" and an affable male voice, Tom, assured me that one of the operatives could be at the hotel and could take pictures when my husband checked in.

I repeatedly told Tom I was concerned about the cost and did not want to incur a big expense.  (I've been unemployed for awhile). Tom assured me that I would only be charged for time spent and that they have investigators located "everywhere" so travel costs would not be an issue. He sounded so sincere. Since what I was requesting was information about who was checking in with my husband, I concluded I could afford the $95 per hour fee.  How long can it take to check in, right?

Two days later a report, without photos, arrived along with a bill for $950!!!  It turns out the licensed investigator is in ARIZONA and she claims I never called off the investigation. I was billed for TWO investigators to hang out in the casino for 5 hours after my husband checked in to see if he came back downstairs. 

When I wrote to Tom that there was clearly a misunderstanding in their billing department, I got a response that the misunderstanding was mine -- I signed a contract.  I wrote again and then Tom left a message on my phone that included a stron tone of extortion when he said going to cour "will involve your husband so you might as well save yourself the time" 

And now I learn from my husband's buddy that there was no one in the lobbywhen they checked in.!
